Ready-To-Drink Canned Curry Is A New Beverage From Japan

Photo: Pokka Sapporo

I must confess, I’m one of those that’s an unconventional sipper. Sometimes I’ll take a bite of my burrito first, followed by a sip of some salsa or hot sauce. At different meals the combo becomes a mixed bag, depending on whatever I’m eating and the sauces that accompany it. Which is why this new ready-to-drink canned curry beverage from Japan is ideal for those like me.

As reported by SoraNews24, Curry na Kibun Chukara (which loosely translates to “I Feel Like Some Medium-Spicy Curry”), by beverage company Pokka Sapporo serves up a combo of beef, pork, and vegetable flavors, all of which are punctuated by 10 different spices.

A unique feature of the unconventional drink is its resealable top, perfect for those who want to revisit their curry sips at a later time. Cans will be sold pre-heated or at room temp and are priced at 140 yen (US$1.30) for a 170-gram (6-ounce) can.

I’m just salivating over the different pairings I can have with this Curry na Kibun Chukara, like rice or bread. Now if only they shipped to the States.

Twrl Is A Naturally-Flavored Nitro-Infused Milk Tea In A Can

Fans of milk tea now have healthier, new option to enjoy their favorite drink from the comfort of their home with Twrl Milk Tea.

Launched earlier this year by Pauline Ang, Twrl is the culmination of her personal mission to find a healthier version of her favorite beverage, milk tea. As devoted as she was to the drink, Ang wanted to find an alternative to most of the sugar-laden options she was faced with, many of which used low-quality ingredients and powders.

What differentiates Twrl from other ready-to-drink milk teas is that its crafted with organic, fair-trade tea from small family-owned farms, uses low-carb, plant-based milk, and is a significantly less sugary option. What’s more, Twrl claims to not use any natural or artificial flavoring at all, thus letting the actual tea speak for itself.

Twrl comes in the following flavors: Original Black Milk Tea, Hojicha Roasted Green Milk Tea, and Supreme Jasmine Milk Tea. If you’re looking to try, availability and more info on the beverage can be found on their website.

Hi-C Orange Lavaburst FINALLY Returns To McDonald’s

One of my fondest memories of working at McDonald’s was those lunch breaks where I could fill up endlessly on Hi-C Orange Lavaburst. Paired with my staple: Two Cheeseburgers, add Big Mac Sauce, add Bacon; the diet that makes my thirty-something self shiver brought so much happiness to teenage Pete.

In 2017, McDonald’s took the beverage off restaurant menus, replacing it with Orange Fanta or something. My heart couldn’t be bothered to care at that point.

However, after years of fans petitioning, the Golden Arches has announced they’re finally bringing back the quintessential fast-food orange drink to their stores.

Hi-C Orange Lavaburst is scheduled to make its return to McDonald’s this year, with the plan to be available nationwide by the summer.

Eager fans can also track McDonald’s progress with the Hi-C Orange Tracker feature, keeping them updated weekly on which restaurant locations are already offering the beverage.

Probably the best part of any breakfast cereal experience is the second act where you gulp down the cereal-flavored milk that’s been brewing for the entire meal.

Bottling the magic of the breakfast table, Nestle Sensations is launching Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamilk to be sold at grocery retailers.

The milk blends cinnamon sugar with hints of toasted cereal to capture the notes that can only be found after a hearty bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Joining the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk will be Nesquik Dark Chocolate Whole Milk and Protein Power Strawberry Milk

You can find the new CTC-flavored milk in grocery stores, convenience stores, and mass retailers nationwide this January. Imagine adding this to Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal. The resulting milk would be next-level.

Pabst Blue Ribbon has announced a new venture with the creation of its Pabst Labs cannabis company. With it comes a brand new cannabis-infused beverage to kick off the brand.

Pabst Labs is launching a Cannabis-Infused Non-Alcoholic Selzer with a bit of lemon.

While cannabis-infused drinks have become popular over the years, Pabst joining the fold marks a potential turning point in major growth for THC-infused beverages in the years to come.

The seltzer will be available in 12oz cans that feature 5mg of THC. While the lemon flavor will be the only flavor available at the time of launch, Pabst says other flavors are already in development.

A test launch of the cans will soon hit select California dispensaries. The beverage can also be purchased directly to Californian residents through Shop.PabstLabs.com.
