Baking Wizard Turns Your Childhood Memories Into Delicious Donuts

pop_culture_donuts_1

This is an awesome collection of pop culture donuts by apparent donut whisperer Timmy Hanno. He’s got donuts inspired by characters from movies, cartoons, TV shows, and video games. I would eat them all. Not in one sitting of course, because that is physically impossible. But dammit if I wouldn’t try. I would, is the thing.

Thanks to my pal David for sending the tip. You know how I feel about donuts! (But just in case you forgot: I LOVE THEM.)

Donkey Kong Nespresso Display for Your Inner Vintage Gamer

capsule-kong

Are you the kind of person that busts out the old Nintendo on a Friday night and pops in some Super Mario Bros. 2 or Earthbound? Do you appreciate the aesthetics of 8-bit designs? Then maybe this Donkey Kong Nespresso Wall Mount is just the thing for you!

Created by Hologramer, this work of art was inspired by the classic Donkey Kong game. CapsuleKong is a unique wall-mount that rolls out your morning Nespresso capsules in Nintendo fashion. The design of the mount captures the nostalgia of the original game level with beautifully carved characters.

Holding exactly 50 capsules, the mount is designed to roll perfectly from top to bottom. At 360mm wide and 440mm high with a 10mm diameter, the wall-mount is the perfect treat for video game aficionados who pre-date the era of Angry Birds and Candy Crush. If this was hanging on my kitchen wall, I’d definitely be more of a morning person.

Falcon Punch Your Way to Breakfast with Nintendo Pancakes

Nintendo Pancakes

The world’s most awesome pancake-making dad is back again, and this time he’s going old school. Nathan Shields of Saipancakes has already come up with HobbitStar Trek and animal turd pancakes, among others. So what could possibly be next? Nintendo flapjacks, y’all!

The batter master creates skillet art that’s not only perfect breakfast entertainment, but they’re also totally spot-on. Mario has his starchy ‘stache, the big DK looks fierce and Yoshi looks adorable, as usual. Perfection.

Since Shields has so much starchy talent, there’s no telling what he could crank out next. Here’s to hoping it’s the cast of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” in batter form, but what do you think it’ll be?
