Taco Bell Just Launched Real Crispy Cheese Snacks

taco bell cheddar crisps

Crispy cheese could be considered a delicacy in a number of places, namely my household. The crunchy ends on pizza crusts, the bits of shredded cheese that come out of a quesadilla while it’s cooking, hell, even the burnt Goldfish at the end of the bag — none of these are safe in my presence. For anyone on the same wavelength as me (so, anyone who isn’t lactose intolerant I presume), Taco Bell just came out with the perfect snack: Cheddar Crisps.

Their new Cheddar Crisps are now available in participating 7-Eleven’s and Kroger’s nationwide, and eventually will be on Amazon delivery services. Taking inspiration from classic Taco Bell flavors, they’ll be launching in three different variations: Nacho, Fire Sauce, and Mild Sauce.

Made with real cheese, the disc-shaped snacks are similar to other cheese snacks, except these have the feel of actual crunchy cheese rather than a cheese-flavored cracker.

If you’re curious as to how these taste, and how fiery the fire sauce flavor really is, check out our Foodbeast first impressions on our Instagram.

This Fireball S’mores Shot Brings The Campfire Straight To You

As a society, and especially as of late, we’ve been trying to find ways to make our alcohol sweeter (Fireball Whiskey, Pinnacle Cotton Candy Vodka, etc.). Well, human ingenuity and the desire to get drunk have joined forces again with this newest creation, the Fireball S’mores shot.

The sweet drinkers over at Delish have made it clear that this shot will incite vivid daydreams of nostalgic childhood memories spent around campfires, bonfires, brushfires, virtually anything that ends in fire. Hell, one whiff of this could convince soldiers on opposing sides to end the crossfire and have a drink together during the ceasefire!

The shot is made by caking the rim of the shotglass with melted marshmallows or a marshmallow cream, then you “salt” the rim with crushed up graham crackers. Finally, the actual shot itself is created by blending two parts chocolate liqueur, one part vanilla Schnapp’s, then the most intriguing part of the shot, the Fireball whiskey.

Of course, this shot is one of those “drink it because it tastes fun” shots, not a “drink it to get drunk” shot. Still, sometimes having fun is more important than getting drunk. Sometimes.

You can find the exact recipe for the shot here.

Uhhh, Nabisco Just Unveiled Bacon-flavored Ritz Crackers

Ritz Bacon Crackers

Because it’s never too late to go the bacon route, Ritz crackers is stepping onto the bacon train, ticket in hand. The Nabisco cracker company has announced that they just released their new bacon-flavored Ritz Crackers with black pepper seasoning.

When thinking of cheese and crackers, bacon is definitely a strong possibility when it comes to jazzing up snack time. Though, I’d much rather have heaping chunks of fried salted pork embedded right into the cracker, I guess these flavored crackers will have to tide me over.

While the novelty value of bacon has wavered to some degree, it’s still nice to see some childhood favorites take their own spin on the flavor profile.

Ritz Bacon is now available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.99.

Pepperidge Farm Unveils Goldfish Cracker-Flavored Macaroni & Cheese

A recent Buzzfeed list cited “Mac and Cheese in a cup” as one of the 10 Foods That Became Socially Unacceptable to Eat after College, but something tells me this Goldfish-Flavored Mac & Cheese will be enough to convince you otherwise.

According to Brand Eating, the new mash-up from Pepperidge Farm features Goldfish-shaped noodles in four different flavors: Cheddar, Nacho Cheese, Cheesy Pizza and Butter Parmesan. But that’s not even the best part. No, the best part is that the box looks suspiciously like a pack of regular Goldfish and is therefore bound to stir up those old feelings of untrammeled excitement we felt when we realized that – yes! Mom didn’t pack any nasty carrot sticks! Goldfish crackers FTW!

The Goldfish Macaroni and Cheese will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart stores nationwide starting Monday, June 24. Just remember to grab a bag of crackers to sprinkle on top of your pasta, because you know your five-year-old self knew what was up.

Chocolate Covered Lance® Toastchee® Sandwich Crackers

Do you have Lance in your pants? If so, remove them and cover them in chocolate. If not, go purchase some Lance sandwich crackers, put them in your pants (because apparently it’s required), remove them, and then cover them in chocolate. There are a number of varieties to choose from, but Toastchee sandwich crackers (peanut butter-filled cheese crackers) are probably the most popular—and, let’s not lie, the best tasting.

Chocolate Covered Lance Toastchee Sandwich Crackers

I’m sure you know how it goes, but just in case: melt chocolate, dip crackers, chill in fridge to set. Boo-yah Grandma. Boo. Yah.

Have you ever had a Nutty Bar? Awesome, right? Well, the texture is basically the same… these are just thinner. And the flavor is very similar… these are just cheesier, which is definitely, definitely a good thing. Definitely.

Chocolate Covered Cheez-It Crackers

More chocolate covered goodness by our friend own Becky. This time, she’s taken Cheez-It crackers, melted white and milk chocolate bark over them and set them to chill in the fridge. Sounds like another erroneous winner in my book!

Poteki: The Potato Chip Tree

Designer Kazuhito Ishida has put up for sale a rather interestingly functional table piece called Poteki. If you’re looking for a way to elongate your potato chip and cracker eating experience, this Potato Chip Tree will get you there. Now if you’re dealing with a cylinder of Pringles, instead of devouring the entire pack in a 5-minute session (it happens, we’re not judging), you can now hang them up chip by chip and have a more thorough experience with your potato slices. If you’re ready to spice up the party, you can check it out on Ishida’s online shop.
