Competitive Eaters Will Attempt To Devour This 25-Pound Ice Cream Cone LIVE

Barton G, home of lavish desserts and going big beyond belief, just launched a new 25-pound, 4-foot-tall ice cream cone. Called the “Oops, I Dropped My Ice Cream Cone,” it is the epitome of size when it comes to ice cream treats.

Of course, being a dessert as tall as a toddler means that competitive eaters are itching to take a swing at conquering this behemoth. Since 25 pounds would test the limits of even the most voracious eaters, a few have decided to team up in an effort to take on Barton G’s newest mega dessert live.

Competitive eaters Raina Huang, Naader Reda (aka FreakEating), Kevin Ross, and Bear Claudillo will all join forces on the Foodbeast Challenger League to take on the massive ice cream cone. To finish, each will have to down over 6 pounds of ice cream, cake, graham cracker crumble, whipped cream, and phyllo dough cone, making this a tough bout, especially considering most of it is sugar.

Petite Competitive Eater Will Attempt To Eat Over 500 Shrimp For National Shrimp Day

With National Shrimp Day coming on May 10th, top-ranked female competitive eater Molly Schuyler is raising the stakes high on her latest challenge.

Fresh off of a 360-nugget eating feat on the Foodbeast Challenger League, Schuyler is going to attempt to eat at least 500 shrimp from San Pedro Fish Market. The viral seafood emporium regularly hosts a similar eating challenge, and the current world record there stands at 7 pounds, which Joey Chestnut downed in 2018.

If Schuyler makes it to 500 shrimp, she’ll easily blow by that record. Schuyler will be eating large shrimp, which total somewhere between 31-37 total per pound. At most, she’ll need to eat 260 shrimp to beat Chestnut’s record. Though it should be mentioned that Chestnut set his record in about 7 minutes and Schuyler won’t really be timed for hers. Perhaps she’ll attempt to surpass him in those first few minutes and take her time afterwards.

San Pedro’s isn’t the only shrimp challenge out there with a world record, as Chestnut has also eaten 18 pounds of shrimp cocktail in an astonishing 8 minutes. Although there’s no cocktail sauce here, if Schuyler takes out an astounding 667 shrimp, she can blow by that mark too.

Considering that those 350 nuggets were light work, seeing Schuyler go for either of these records should be a spectacle to be behold.

Petite Competitive Eater Crushes 360 Chicken Nuggets In One Sitting

How many chicken nuggets could you crush in one sitting? For me, that number stands at 40 nuggets in a single go. (We don’t talk about that night.)

Competitive eater Molly Schuyler, though, just blew everyone else’s personal records out of the water. During a Twitch livestream of the Foodbeast Challenger League, the world’s top-ranked female eater cruised her way through 360 Burger King nuggets in a single sitting. That’s 11.5 pounds of fried chicken, or 15,300 calories, for those counting.

For context, the previous mark using the same chain’s nuggets we could find was set by Darron Eats on YouTube, who ate 300 in roughly 50 minutes. Schuyler ate 60 more than he did, finishing in 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 33 seconds.

Schuyler was honestly unfazed by the amount of nuggets, and probably could have eaten a lot more. The tougher obstacle was the texture of the nuggets, which got hard fast once they went cold. A combination of dunking them in water and drowning them in ketchup helped her grind through all 360 nuggets. Had they all stayed warm, it’s anybody’s guess as to how many more she could have taken down.

This wasn’t the only eating feat set on the Twitch livestream. During it, competitive eater “Killer” Dan Kennedy muscled his way through a whopping 54 Winchell’s Donuts, while Naader “FreakEating” Reda downed 100 Mother’s Cookies with a gallon of milk.

Watch This Petite Competitive Eater Chug Two Gallons Of Cooking Oil

Molly Schuyler is quickly becoming one of the most interesting competitive eaters, in the past crushing 72 ounces of Texas steak, 7 pound burritos, and even 26 Big Macs in one sitting.

While all those are impressive, she went off the rails in celebration of her 50,000 YouTube subscribers. To celebrate, she tried to consume over 50,000 calories, and decided the easiest way to do that was with canola oil, as Schuyler admitted she “always wanted to see how bad it was.”

That curiosity lead to Schuyler chugging two whole gallons of cooking oil, which equaled 66,560 total calories.

As she prepped her 11 giant cups full of oil, you couldn’t help but think about how unhealthy this was. Schuyler said she did not consult a physician before trying this, but does get physicals every 3-6 months, and gets blood work done if something feels wrong.

“I also advise NOBODY to do that,” Schuyler said. “It was disgusting… I was about to hurl.”

She got through every ounce, though, in just 1 minute and 6 seconds.

As of this writing, Molly is sitting on 54,000 subscribers, and we can only imagine what she’ll do when she hits 100,000.

You assumedly eat like everyone else. You do, say, three full meals a day, maybe five smaller snack-meals, and your stomach appreciates your considerate attitude of moderation. But not everyone is like us, peacefully dining at a leisurely pace, savoring flavor profiles and offering conversation. Instead, there are those out in the world who eat like gods and goddesses, consuming calories at a baffling rate.

They’re competitive eaters and each of them apparently have a stomach akin to a seemingly bottomless stash of space to fill with food. They see those insane gimmicky food challenges at restaurants as training exercises, while people like us scoff at the sign and ask our fellow diners who could ever possibly do that. He’s on video downing absurd amounts of whatever, from four sticks of butter to seven pounds of pulled pork. 

Miki Sudo

Among her plentiful and very impressive competitive eating victories, Miki Sudo has most notably placed 1st in the women’s category of Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017— downing 41 hot dogs the last time. The fact that her accomplishments are a laundry list of eating conquests should cement her place on this list. In one of Sudo’s own YouTube clips, we see her put down an 8 lb burger challenge with casual finesse.


Crazy Legs Conti

Crazy Legs Conti has done everything from eat his way out of a “popcorn sarcophagus” to winning the Big Easy Eat-Off with 168 oysters on the half shell to 3.5 pounds of sourdough pancakes and six pieces of bacon for the Hibernation Cup. Yasir Salem

Given that he’s the defending champion of the Tour de Donut bicycle races, in multiple states no less, Yasir Salem should have your attention. He’s the “World’s #1 Speed Eater Ultra-Athlete,” meaning the man can eat 47 ears of corn in 12 minutes as well as compete in marathons and Ironman competitions. Hall Hunt

Hall “Hoover” Hunt is a member of MENSA and can chow down 23 grilled cheese sandwiches in ten minutes. The dude has a civil engineering background and he comes at competitive eating with an academic mindset. It pays off, clearly. Thankfully, you can scope him out in full glory putting away sweet corn like nobody’s business, thanks to this video from Major League Eating.

Molly Schuyler

In 2016, Molly Schulyer set the record at the annual Hwy 55 World Hamburger Eating Competition. In 2017, she beat her own record by downing seven stacked Hwy 55 burgers, a side of fries, and a 20 oz. drink, all in one minute and 37 seconds. To clarify, this is the #1 Female Independent Competitive Eater in the World that we’re talking about. She holds a staggering number of records across the country and shows no signs of slowing down. YouTuber Derek Farley has a video of Schuyler devouring a meal in a competition like she was a robot programmed for it.

Takeru Kobayashi

It’s impossible to talk about Takeru Kobayashi without noting that he changed Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2001 — and arguably all of competitive eating. Before that year, the record was 25 hot dogs and a bite or two into the 26th. Then, Kobayashi arrived and the record was suddenly 50. The Oregonian has a video of the dude waging war on two pizzas in two minutes before a PSU football game. Legend status, really.


Carmen Cincotti

Carmen Cincotti has an unbelievable résumé. He can eat 49 cheeseburgers in ten minutes, two gallons of chili in six minutes, and 170 peeps in five minutes. He’s currently the #2 competitive eater in the world and his YouTube channel is definitive proof why.

Bob Shoudt

At the 2017 Wing Bowl in Philadelphia, Bob “Notorious B.O.B.” Shoudt went insane — on finger-licking finger foods. Seriously, the man scarfed down 409 chicken wings like a boss. Wilder still, Shoudt is the oldest contestant to win the deal in its 25 years of existence.

Eric Booker

The way people speak of Eric “Badlands” Booker,” you’d think he was a one-man burrito hit squad. Although he rages in all kinds of eating competitions, it’s his ability to do things like consume 15 burritos in eight minutes that make people think he’s not mortal. And then doing things like scarfing a five-pound “Burritozilla” at a challenge in San Jose’s Iguanas restaurant only furthers the legend. In fact, YouTuber Cameron McKirdy has a video of it, for skeptics and curious ones alike.


Raina Huang

Even though she’s relatively new to the sport, Raina Huang can absolutely dominate. Huang proved as much when she oolly breezed through the In-N-Out 50×50 Challenge, which consists of an In-N-Out burger boasting 50 beef patties. Watch her dominate and set a new world record in Foodbeast’s YouTube video of the momentous occasion. A few weeks before that, she won the Pabst Blue Ribbon Pizza Eating Challenge at Oozefest with 16 slices in 10 minutes. Huang keeps her body fit and ready for food with lots of cardio exercises and a drinking a gallon of water every single day in less than five minutes.

Matt Stonie Attempts to Eat 50 Scrambled Eggs In Under 6 Minutes

Even the most hardcore scrambled egg lover can admit that eating between 2-to-5 is more than enough, but competitive eater Matt Stonie is more hardcore than the average person, so he attempted to eat 50.

Stonie literally put every single one of the 50 eggs in a giant bowl, whisked them all at once, and poured them into two different cooking pans. He even sprinkled in some cheese for good measure.

Using a baking sheet as a plate, Stonie went to work on his protein-packed challenge, as his buddy unofficially challenged him to finish in under five minutes and 50 seconds, which just seemed like an arbitrary guesstimate.

It took him 6 minutes and 16 seconds to get every last bite in, but he actually did eat the whole damn thing.

Next time you’re in your kitchen, eating your scrambled egg breakfast and taking your sweet time, remember that this beast took down 20 times more than you, and did it faster.

An Inside Look At The Lives Of The World’s Top 3 Competitive Eaters

The world of competitive eating may seem like paradise at first to those of us who love to eat. However, eaters on the competitive eating circuit face a grueling and tough path of contests filled with loads of training, practice, and stomach pain. To be a competitive eater is nothing short of impressive, and is even comparable to how a professional athlete trains and performs.

In order to get insight on competitive eaters’ routines, we talked to some of the world’s best: Female competitive eating icon Miki Sudo, viral YouTube sensation Matt Stonie, and industry legend Joey “Jaws” Chestnut; all revealed their own personal tips and tricks to Foodbeast. From contest prep to gametime strategies and recovery methods, here’s what really goes into a professional eating contest.

Prepping For The Big Day

While each competitive eater has their own method and style of preparation, everybody tends to go through the same processes. Each eater will train, practice, and fast in various rotations leading up to their contest.

For Matt Stonie, getting his body into a rhythm is absolutely crucial. Cycles of training, resting, and practice help him get into his groove. Fasting is also key to prepping for the big day. However, even the day before the contest, Stonie doesn’t skimp on the energy.

“Yesterday I did an all-liquid diet, protein shakes, liquid carbs. This morning, some water, some coffee, some Gatorade for some sugar.”

While the stomach may stay empty, Stonie keeps himself running in peak form thanks to the electrolytes and energy spikes his liquid diet provides. It’s a smart way to stay focused and in top shape while limiting food intake before an eating contest.

Miki Sudo, the world’s top female competitive eater, also has a distinct approach to her prep. “I like to have a comfortable week where I have my sleep schedule in order. I’m in the gym, I’m regularly doing cardio — I just feel fit and energetic and healthy,” she said. On top of that, Sudo likes to go through a 24-hour fasting period. Proper nutrition is another major key for her. Those long periods of internal body prep help Sudo stay at the top of her game and in front of the competition.

Like Sudo, Joey Chestnut likes to have about a week or so to prep, rest, and practice. Training, including running, is a part of his regimen, but practicing eating the food beforehand appears to be paramount. “Every practice I try to build up my tolerance,” Chestnut says, as it helps him grit through more of whatever food is ahead of him.

Interestingly, prepping for contests is the most variable factor for several competitive eating athletes. While Stonie, Sudo, and Chestnut have ideal practice times and durations, they admit that they don’t always reach that optimum amount because of time constraints between contests and other varying factors. However, even when they’re not at their best, they can still accomplish incredible eating feats.

Getting Into Gametime Mode

Before games start, athletes love to hype themselves up and get the adrenaline flowing. Competitive eaters are no different.

Miki Sudo loves to, as she puts it, feed off of the crowd. The energy that they can provide really helps her give everything while eating. On top of the audience, she also likes to listen to any songs that get her pumped up and energized (Iggy Azalea’s “Heavy Crowd” is a personal favorite of hers right now).

Adrenaline and energy are definitely important, but so is their mindset heading into game time. Stonie feels that keeping yourself from “mentally psyching out” is important heading into a contest. By doing that, you keep yourself from getting in your head and letting that affect your performance.

When it comes to the actual contest, a general consensus exists that it’s all about maintaining your top energy for the allotted time. That means that while eating may seem enjoyable to us, an eating contest is anything but.

“Exerting 100% of your energy over the course of [a contest], no matter what you’re doing, is very very grueling,” Sudo told Foodbeast. Matt Stonie agrees, as he compares an eating contest to a marathon. “I think the hardest part is maintaining that internal momentum that you have and keep going and going,” he says.

For Stonie, the last two minutes of a competition are also the most grueling. “In the last couple of minutes it’s not fun and you wanna stop or just take it easy. 2 minutes left, 1 minute left, just push it out.” These competitive eaters are exerting their full effort when it’s game time, just like any professional athlete does during a sporting event. While each competition is not always the same amount of time, they all definitely take a serious toll that requires some extensive recovery.

Recovery Time

When an eating contest is all said and done, the competitors then immediately begin recovery mode. Considering they just consumed an obscene amount of food, some of the key steps afterward involve rest and hydration.

Immediately following a competition, Stonie’s priority is to get back to his hotel room, shower, take a nap, and hydrate.

For Sudo, hydration is the key as well, especially when it comes to saltier foods like hot dogs and potstickers.

“It’s really important for me to get rehydrated so my body doesn’t go into shock. [Contest organizers] ask us what kind of soda, juice, tea, or water we want after the contest.”

Even with that hydration on deck, it’s hard to be able to recover from a contest right away. There’s still post-game obligations that Sudo and the others have to fill. “[Sometimes] I haven’t been able to go back and rest for half an hour to an hour doing pictures and interviews,” Sudo stated. “So it’s really hard to find that bottle of water when you need it.”

Following the contest, the hydration and rest contributes to getting the food fully digested. For the next one to two days after an event, Stonie slowly goes from bloated to normal. However, he doesn’t fully fast while in this phase so that his nutrition stays on point.

“A day after, especially, usually 2 days in, I get some vegetables or light calories,” Stonie says. “You gotta take care of your body, you can’t just fast completely. Vitamins and minerals are essential to keep your whole system going.”

And while the eaters may still be in recovery mode for the next contest, they’re already gearing up for the next one. Like an athlete looks at footage of themselves to analyze their performance, Chestnut dissects his eating behaviors after a contest. “I look at how I did and I analyze it and analyze video and just figure out how I can try to improve.”

From there, all three eaters recover, train up, and get ready for the next contest, usually anywhere from a couple of days to a week away. That’s just about as intensive as a professional athlete’s schedule, so it’s clear that these guys are all in all the time. From their prep to game time to recovery, how Matt Stonie, Miki Sudo, and Joey Chestnut go about their eating contest strategies is very much like a professional athlete.

Based on their experiences, it’s clear that Major League eating is no joke. If you want in on the professional eating circuit, you better be ready to commit at the same level as Steph Curry does to basketball. Or, comparably, how any of the three eaters above prepare for eating contests.

Watch Pro Eater Matt Stonie Conquer 13 Pounds Of Milk And Cookies

If you’re familiar with competitive eating, then Matt Stonie is a household name. This year, he’s been on a roll, taking down some impressive challenges — eating more than 9,000 calories when he replicated Big Smoke’s order from the Grand Theft Auto video game. He also ate five Chipotle burritos in less than five minutes.

This week, Stonie went the classic route with some milk and cookies. However, this challenge was no ordinary after school special. It required one gallon of milk and 203 Chips Ahoy Cookies to reach a grand total of 12,800 calories.

Combined, Stonie estimated this dough and dairy pairing was, “roughly 13-pounds of cookies and milk,” according to the video’s description on YouTube. In less than 30 minutes, Stonie had devoured everything but crumbs, and finished about 1.5 gallons of milk.

While it’s been rumored that the human body is unable to consume a gallon of milk in one hour, Stonie makes light work of these two half gallons, seemingly without any discomfort. Although, during this challenge, he did say that his gums were getting raw because of the crunchiness of the cookies.

Maybe next time he’ll dunk the cookies in milk like a normal person.
