Following 25 years of usage, Coca-Cola will begin to stop printing the word “classic” on its products, and begin phasing out the imagery all together. Coca-Cola has always maintained an interesting history in regards to its branding, its formulas, and the like. Though both these new commercials are worthy of our Video of the Day feature, I felt like they needed their own separate article. One commercial involves a man yawning, and then a viral effect takes place within the weird world that exists within a Coca Cola vending machine. The other video (after the jump) takes place in a library as two study partners make drawings on their hands to communciate, until their illustrations come to life. What’s going on Coca Cola? During our latest outting to Las Vegas, our homies Giovanni and Dominic would not let the night go dry, telling me of an awesome experience you can have at the Coca-Cola store, which is flush with the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Apparently, if you go up to the top floor, you can enjoy what the store aptly calls “Tastes of the World”. For a mere $7.00, you will get two trays of Coke samples from countries all across the world; 16 different flavors to be exact. Some, arguably better than others…but half the fun is getting an order and taste testing with some of your friends.
These new Samsung uVending Machines were being showcased recently, boasting an extravagantly large touch screen display. uVending machines also come network and WiFi enabled, allowing owners to monitor stock before the machine ever gets close to running out of product, and the machine information can be accessed remotely. Along with these spiffy new features are anti-vandalism characteristics which includes shock sensors with subsequent alarms/warnings, plus a built-in camera to capture any hooligans who think they’re slick with their potential vandalizing.
