Cinnabon Is Selling Whole Pints Of Their Iconic Frosting For The First Time Ever

The best thing about a nice, warm cinnamon roll is arguably the divine cream cheese frosting slathered on top like a silk sheet on a tropical summer night.

For the first time, Cinnabon is now taking their famous frosting and selling it by the pint for fans to use how they see fit.

Cinnabon’s signature frosting will elevate practically any baked good you’re planning to make for the holidays, or if you’re anything like me, it will be utterly delicious paired with some black coffee and ruffled potato chips.

Hey, don’t judge me.

The limited-edition 13-oz Signature Cream Cheese Frosting pints are available nationwide at participating Cinnabon mall bakeries and food delivery providers for $5.99. You can find your nearest Cinnabon bakery store by peeping

Cinnabon Launches Frozen Breakfast Line Including Chicken Biscuit

When I think of Cinnabon, I think of those mall food stalls that deliver a euphoric dose of cinnamon butter smell particles as I walk past on my way to the movies. While movies aren’t happening any time soon, Cinnabon is hard at work expanding their offerings past concession stands and straight onto your breakfast table.

The brand just announced its first-ever line of frozen breakfast items that cover both the sweet and savory sides of everyone’s favorite meal.

Six new items are set to drop simultaneously, each with Cinnabon’s own signature style of flavor: Caramel Pecan Ooey-Gooey Rolls, Frosting Filled CinnaPastry, Frosted CinnaSweet Swirls, CinnaBiscuit Chicken Sandwich, Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage Bites, and CheddarRoll Sausage & Egg Sandwich.

The new breakfast line is now available nationwide in the breakfast aisle of your local grocer’s frozen food section. I wonder if I can piece them all together and form some kind of Cinnabon breakfast Megazord.

Probably shouldn’t.

KFC Just Teamed Up With Cinnabon To Make Cinnamon Roll Biscuits

Normally when you go to KFC, your dessert options are pretty limited. There’s the standard chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookies, and maybe there’s a seasonal cake of some kind (like lemon) around. Outside of that, they haven’t innovated much in the dessert space. Until now, that is.

KFC has kickstarted their dessert innovation with a Cinnabon collab. These Cinnabon Biscuits are kind of like a cross between a cinnamon roll and a biscuit, only that the aromatic sugar filling is not rolled into the actual dough. Instead, there’s both a brown sugar cinnamon glaze and a cream cheese frosting drizzled on the outside of these biscuits.

Cinnabon Biscuits mark the first dessert item KFC has introduced in years. The last sweet treat to hit menus was cookies, which became a permanent item back in 2012.

These cinnamon sugar biscuits will be on the menu from April 29th through June 30th, or while supplies last. You’ll get a pack of four with any 10-piece meal or bigger order on the house, but can also purchase individual ones for a buck each or a pack of four for $3.

Pizza Hut Now Has Cinnabon Mini Rolls As A Permanent Dessert Option

Cinnamon rolls regularly get attention over the years as different people learn that they apparently go well with chili. It makes sense, as the sweetness of the pastry and aroma of the cinnamon should pair well with the spices and flavors that are in the classic stew.

We see that interesting combination and raise you a different one: cinnamon rolls and pizza. Sounds strange at first, but the savory pizza has a lot going for it that could make it pair well with the classic baked good.

That pairing can now be tested en masse thanks to Pizza Hut, who’s teamed up with Cinnabon for a new addition to their dessert menu. You are now able to order 10-packs of warm Cinnabon mini rolls as a sweet contrast to your hearty pizza orders.

While it may sound a little unconventional to have a traditional breakfast item for dessert, cinnamon rolls can play the role of both, and have already proven to be a great anytime treat that can pair well with savory eats.

If you’re keen to try out this combo, it’s now on the permanent menu at Pizza Hut locations nationwide for $5.99. We’re thinking of trying this out with pepperoni first to get that sweet heat combo that cinnamon rolls and chili already has going for it.

Take a Break With These Sweet Tax Day Restaurant Deals

April is the cruelest month. With lilacs dying off because of the bipolar weather, worrying over an array of tax forms and having an existential crisis as you realize how scant your income has been this past year really puts a damper on things.

However, while you scrounge out those old receipts to find any form of a tax benefit, there are some companies out there that have you in mind.

Whether you need some tropical shaved ice to cool you off or a free pizza with a big ass mouse, this tax day doesn’t have to be as dire as it might seem.

Here are a few spots offering a deal on that fateful Tuesday:

Great American Cookies

The 1977 classically American cookie company is once again sharing some sweetness on a bitter day by giving away one free Cookies & Cream cookie to any individual aware of the deal. Although you don’t need any proof of taxes to receive the cookie, the sullen, groggy, and broken look will fare as evidence.

Hot Dog on a Stick

While it might not be the first place you would run to, Hot Dog on a Stick is still attempting to alleviate any stress the day might bring by offering one veggie or turkey dog to each customer. Nothing amazing, but if you happen to be in a mall and you see one, now you know.

Chuck E. Cheese’s

A post shared by Chuck E. Cheese (@chuckecheeses) on

Okay, this one is amazing. You get an entire large pizza for free with a purchase of one large pizza from April 18-20. I don’t know if you remember these pizzas, but they tasted like how playing Mortal Kombat against the big, sweaty competitive kid and then beating him felt. I mean, you have to have a kid to get in, but that’s not a problem, just go to the Party City that’s invariably across the street and find one.

This one is pretty delicious. Anyone who follows the scent of these succulent little morsels to the source will be treated with two Cinnabon bites. While it might not be worth it to go out of your way to get only two of these tiny little dudes, consider the fact that most of the deals on this page can be found in a mall, so just go to a mall and take in the sweet tax day deals.

Hungry Howie’s

Though locations are sparse, this is a pizza joint on a level above Little Caesars and they’re giving away a one topping medium pizza for 15 cents with the purchase of a one-topping large pizza at regular menu price using the promo code 18TAXDAY. The deal is valid for online carryout purchases only through 4/15-4/17 at participating locations. Can’t really go wrong with pizza for 15 cents.

Piada Italian Street Food

If you’re craving something more Italian than pizza, then look no further than Piada Italian Street Food which will be handing out a free blackberry lemonade with every purchase on Tuesday.

Potbelly Sandwiches

So if you’re on the West Coast this isn’t a great deal, mainly because there are no locations there. However, if you’re close to one of these shops, try to get their app and sign up for their perks program. Customers who sign up for Potbelly Perks by downloading the Potbelly app (iPhone / Android) or online will receive a free sandwich (the free sandwich offer ends until 75,000 sandwiches have been given away). Those already enrolled in Potbelly Perks can enjoy a BOGO Sandwich that will automatically load in to the app for redemption on Tax Day (April 17). For a fast food sandwich joint, this one knows what it’s doing, and what it’s doing is delicious sandwiches.

A post shared by SONIC Drive-In (@sonicdrivein) on

For when you don’t feel like moving too much after you’ve experienced once again how bleak your economic life is, Sonic is the place to go. Without even stepping outside of your car — hell you can even keep the car going and listen to a podcast about why living a healthy life is the key to stability — all while chowing down on a half-priced burger at any time of the day, because this is America.

Kona Ice

A post shared by Kona Ice (@konaice) on

The traditional shaved ice company is hoping to help the hot headed tax payers by offering a free cup of shaved ice on their National “Chill Out” day, which is really just tax day. If you like shaved ice, this aint’ a bad pit-stop on your Tuesday.

Finally, something that’ll actually help everyone in misery. For $6 you can get a pretty average blueberry or pineapple margarita from this fine establishment. Hey think about it, you get a pretty significant amount back for your taxes in a few weeks, right? Just consider it already in the bank and use this time in life to reflect. No better place to do that than Chili’s at like 11 AM, sitting next to a 70 year-old woman wearing stilettos, with a chihuahua in her leather purse, who smells vaguely like your grandmother’s dishwasher.

Well, that’s basically all of the deals you’ll want to consider. I mean there’s other stuff, like Quizno’s, but it isn’t worth it. If you have to be a member of something to get a deal that’ll save you a whopping $4 on an average sandwich, that might just stress you out more.

Cinnabon Lost Its Mind, Is Stuffing Cookies With Entire Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnabon is notorious for releasing a tantalizingly sweet aroma into the shopping mall air, and If you thought it was hard to resist those sticky buns before, you’re going to lose it when you see those soft little buns literally inside a cookie.

You read that right, these new Cookie BonBites from Cinnabon will be filled with bite-sized Cinnabon buns, confusing you with every bite, as you’ll get the chewy goodness from the cookie, then immediately feel the airy texture of the cinnamon roll.

The cookie’s cookie dough will be provided by Nashville’s Christie Cookie Company, who also makes the DoubleTree hotel’s bomb ass cookies (look it up).

“The Cookie BonBite is one of our yummiest examples of creativity to come out of the innovation kitchen,” Cinnabon’s vice president of global marketing, Jill Thomas, said. “The delicious Cookie BonBite joins two extraordinary baked goods to create an unexpected out-of-this-world flavor combination not to be missed!”

The Cookie BonBites will debut Monday, December 4, which is also National Cookie Day (of course), and will only be around for a limited time. You can get one for $2.99, or a half dozen at $9.99.

Y’all are evil for this one, Cinnabon, and I will definitely be at the mall ASAP.

Cinnabon’s Response To Bus Rider Holding 30 Gallons Of Their Frosting Is Perfect

The greatest thing to happen to the internet this week was Cinnabon uncovering this tweet.

Twitter user Craig Calhoun uploaded a photo of some guy on the bus next to him with a 30 gallon drum of Cinnabon frosting that was apparently destined for Taco Bell, based off of the label.

Naturally, the internet found this tweet and couldn’t believe what was happening, leading to some priceless reactions and commentary.

Turns out somebody at Cinnabon saw what was happening on Twitter and responded to the original tweet in hilarious fashion.

Along with a few other epic responses to people on the Twitter thread.

After that, they went and created their own meme using the original picture.

Well done, Cinnabon. You’ve won the internet for today.

Cinnabon Paid Tribute To Carrie Fisher And Pissed Off The Internet

Princess Leia’s hair buns are iconic and have often been compared to cinnamon rolls. It’s an old, tired joke, but Cinnabon tried to bring it back to relevance after the princess herself, Carrie Fisher, tragically died Tuesday.

In their own version of a Twitter tribute, Cinnabon posted an artistic cinnamon portrait of Princess Leia, with a Cinnabon bun, and a caption reading, “RIP Carrie Fisher, you’ll always have the best buns in the galaxy.”

Not exactly the most inflammatory thing they could have done, but fans of the actress found it to be insensitive, and what happened next can be perfectly explained by this scene in Friends:

Yeah, people immediately attacked the tweet, not appreciating Cinnabon’s attempt at showing Fisher love.

After the backlash, Cinnabon quickly deleted the tweet and apologized for it. Then, because you can never please everyone, Cinnabon got attacked for deleting it and giving in to the negative response.

The moral of the story: Everyone’s a hater, and 2016 is still the worst.
