Lay’s Newest Summer Chips Include A Chile Mango Flavor

Lay’s is introducing a trio of new potato chip flavors to kick off the 2021 summer season, and they’re continuing the pattern of chile mango flavors we’re seeing from big brands this year.

Following the launch of a Mangonada at Baskin Robbins, Lay’s is doing their own spicy, fruity variety with a bag of Chile Mango chips. There’s not much other detail on the spice blend, but while Tajin was at the core of Baskin Robbins’ collab, they appear to be sitting this one out.

The other flavors that Lay’s is bringing to the table this summer include Wavy Jerk Chicken and a Summer BLT. The Jerk Chicken version promises “spicy, sweet, and smoky jerk flavor,” while the Summer BLT chip has lettuce, tomato, and bacon seasoning on it.

All three flavors are limited-edition batches for the summer, and are launching this week across grocery stores nationwide.

While the Chile Mango calls our name the loudest, and shows evidence of a budding flavor in the big food game, the other flavors are equally enticing.

Pringles Debuts Limited-Edition Deep Fried PICKLE Chips

Love them or hate them pickles are having their moment. Whether it’s on top of a pizza or enjoyed as a hot salsa, the reception of the vinegar brined cucumber has been polarizing if even considered outside of a classic sandwich or burger.

Riding the pickle sensation, Pringles has introduced a Wavy Deep Fried Pickle Can.

The new item boasts dill notes, tanginess, and the batter-coated flavor from deep-fried pickle chips.

If there were a chip to pair with ranch dressing, this would be it.
You can only find this limited-edition can of Pringles at Dollar General stores nationwide throughout April.

Trader Joe’s Turns Real Onions Into New ONION CHIPS

I’ve spent the better part of my life enjoying onion-flavored chips. It’s even gotten to the point where I’d eat so much; my breath would taste as if I had downed an actual onion itself.

To my delight, Trader Joe’s newest snack bridges the gap between chips and pure unadulterated onion in their new Crispy Onion Chips.

The chips are made with actual onion slices, rice bran oil, and salt and are probably the closest thing you can get to snacking on real onions.

You can find them in the What’s New section of your local Trader Joe’s stores.

Wonder how they’ll pair with Bloomin’ Onion sauce?

Ruffles’ Newest Flavor Is Flamin’ Hot BBQ

Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum is the face of Ruffles’ brand new flavor, Flamin’ Hot BBQ. After linking with Lakers champion and superstar, Anthony Davis, last year on a tasty Lime & Jalapeno flavor, the chip house that ridges made is dipping into the NBA talent pool again with their continued partnership with the league.

This is the first time that any Frito-Lays snack has combined with the immensely popular Flamin’ Hot variety, proving to be quite the unique offering right out the gate. For Tatum to put his true stamp on this new Ruffles flavor, he tapped into his St. Louis roots, a city known for its bbq and spicy food. The result is a snack that’s like some baby back ribs slathered in some spicy bbq sauce, all in chip form.

Ruffles Flamin’ Hot BBQ is now available now at most retailers nationwide for $4.29 (8 oz. multi-serve) and $1.99 (2.5 oz. single-serve).

Trader Joe’s Debuts Everything But The Bagel Potato Chips

The complex flavors of Everything But The Bagel Seasoning is quickly gaining popularity, especially after Trader Joe’s released their EBTB seasoning in early 2017 for customers to throw on anything and everything.

One snack, I’ll admit, I enjoyed adding the medley of spices to were potato chips. Luckily, Trader Joe’s latest snack item takes away that middle step and serving up Everything But The Bagel Seasoned Kettle Cooked Potato Chips.

The new snack boasts crunchy kettle-cooked chips fried in small batches and seasoned with the popular Trader Joe’s Blend. This includes salt, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.

You’ll be able to find the new bag of chips at Trader Joe’s locations nationwide in their snack section. It also can’t hurt to grab a bottle of EBTB Seasoning Blend while you’re there to enhance these chips even further.

Just because summer’s officially over doesn’t mean we can’t treat ourselves to a little heat this holiday season. One delicious route on the highway to heat may be Pringles’ new line of spicy chips.

Called Pringles Scorchin’, the new spin-off of the iconic chips feature three new flavors: Scorchin’ BBQ, Scorchin’ Cheddar, and Scorchin’ Chili & Lime.

Each new chip boasts a balance of bold flavor and spiciness.

While Pringles has launched spicy flavors in the past, this addition marks the first-ever dedicated line to heat.

You can find the new Scorchin’ Pringles at participating retailers nationwide this December.

Lay’s Debuts New Flavors Including ‘NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN’

It’s been a minute since Lay’s dropped some new flavors on us, and with many avid snackers staying indoors these last few months any new variety is more than welcome.

The new line of Lay’s Potato Chip flavors all follow a restaurant-inspired theme. These include Carnitas Street Tacos (inspired by El Torito), Philly Cheesesteak (inspired by Geno’s Steaks), New York Style Pizza (inspired by Grimaldi’s), Chile Relleno (inspired by Cocina Azul), and Nashville Hot Chicken (inspired by Party Fowl).

Immediately after hearing the flavor list, my mind started wondering which of these flavors pair best dunked in some cold ranch dressing. Probably the hot chicken and pizza.

Those interested in checking out these new flavors will be able to find them launching at the end of July in participating grocery snack aisles. The Chile Relleno, however, will be exclusive to Walmart and 7-Eleven locations.

Pringles x Wendy’s Collab Introduces Limited-Edition BACONATOR Chips

In an unexpected move, Pringles has partnered with sassy fast food burger chain Wendy’s to create a line of limited edition chips based off of the ever-popular menu item: The Baconator.

Pringles new Baconator Chips is said to boast just that, the taste of its namesake.

For those unfamiliar, the Baconator is made with a half pound of beef, American cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, ketchup, and mayonnaise. The idea was to capture the flavors of the iconic Wendy’s sandwich while making it as accessible as reaching into your pantry.

Looking forward to getting my hands on a can and seeing if this rings true.

You can find the new flavor of Pringles now at participating retailer snack food aisles nationwide for a limited time. Wonder if Pringles plans on collaborating with other fast food brands in the near future? Would love to see a Filet-O-Fish can in the future.
