Le Diplomate Cafe: Irvine

Le Diplomate Cafe in Irvine is definitely where it’s at when you’re looking for reasonably priced Mediterranean Goodness. Not to be confused with its older brothers in Brea, Yorba Linda or other Orange County locations, this is more of a to-go style restaurant located in the heart of the UC Irvine University Town Center. Me and Austin took a trip down hungry-lane and got us a couple sandwiches. Check it out after the jump!

Jack In The Box Homestyle Chicken Fillet

Jack in the Box tempted us with some Asian flavors yesterday and today they are showing some love those yearning for home-cooked taste. The new Homestyle Chicken Fillet has crispy buttery coating and is being served on two brand new sandwiches: the Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club and Breakfast Homestyle Chicken Biscuit. The Chicken Club has the chicken fillet between a toasted bakery-style bun with bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing. To score some breakfast, you can get the Homestyle Chicken Biscuit, which nestles a chicken fillet in between a warm, fluffy buttermilk biscuit. Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club will cost you $4.29 and the Breakfast Biscuit is $2.99, both available all day.

Along with Popeyes new look and branding comes new product, and today we bring you the latest from the Popeye’s kitchen: The Big Easy Chicken Bowl. Combining Popeyes world famous Red Beans and Rice, pulled chicken and Cajun gravy, topped off with a blend of shreded cheeses and parsley, the concotion does its best to set itself apart from other bowls at competing fast food chains. If you’re feeling punchy, you get the option of adding Louisiana brand hot sauce and sour cream. The bowl is set at a reasonable $3.49 for a limited time, so who knows? Eat today, gone tomorrow?

Panda Express Thai Cashew Chicken

Quick Chinese food mogul Panda Express has put Thai Cashew Chicken on their menu. Cashews and spicy cilantro dance in a sizzling wok with all-white meat chicken breast, red bell peppers, onions and strips of scallion. Get yourself a taste of Thailand down the street at the local shopping mall. A 5.5 ounce serving will only set you back 240 calories, 13 g fat and 18 g protein. Also, Panda Express is celebrating their 25th anniversary this Halloween. Congratulations guys! And much respect for a quarter century of putting out mad tasty Orange Chicken and Chow Mein on the cheap.
