Little Debbie’s Oatmeal Creme Pies Are Now A Cereal

Little Debbie’s Oatmeal Creme Pies have been a staple of the grocery store snack aisles for nearly sixty years. Two oatmeal cookies come together with a spread of rich creme in between them — no wonder it’s a classic.

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Little Debbie’s Oatmeal Creme Pies, the brand has partnered with Kellogg’s Cereal to create a new Oatmeal Creme Pie breakfast cereal.

The cereal features oatmeal cookie pieces that are made with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of molasses.

This should be a pretty smooth transition for fans who solely eat a couple of Oatmeal Creme Pies for breakfast. Kellogg’s Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pie Cereal Hits stores early this November.

Frosted Flakes And Froot Loops Get A First-Ever Cereal Mash-Up

As a kid, have you ever faced the tough decision between eating Frosted Flakes or Froot Loops for your breakfast cereal? Have you ever waited until your mom walked away and ended up just combining the two together? I totally have.

To the delight of my inner child, Kellogg’s has created the first-ever cereal mash-up between Frosted Flakes and Foot Loops.

Taking the colorful loops handcrafted by Toucan Sam and the Frosted Corn Flakes whipped up by Tony the Tiger, this amalgam of iconic breakfast cereals blends together two unique tastes.

Those who have combined the two in their youth will definitely know what this tastes like already, but the purists who can only have one box at a time will surely find some joy in this new experience.

The cereal mashup will be available at participating grocery retailers nationwide for a limited time beginning this June.

IHOP Is Developing A Pancake Cereal Called PANFLAKES

The recent trend of creating “Pancake Cereal” by pan frying tiny bits of pancake batter, tossing it into a cereal bowl, and drowning it in syrup has become a booming sensation across social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. People just love pancakes, and I for one concur.

Enter the International House of Pancakes, also known as IHOP, who’ve seemingly predicted the rise of pancake cereal for months now.

Not too long ago the brand released a line of Cereal Pancakes. IHOP told us that during that time, they were quietly working on a a cereal concept called “Panflakes” set to launch later in March, 2020.

With COVID-19 keeping everyone inside, that idea got shelved for a bit until the brand could further develop the recipe for this brave new world. However, with the immense popularity of this social pancake hack in recent weeks emerging, could this be the perfect time to launch Panflakes?

IHOP released the concept tease of the pancake box and their social channels took to them like, well, maple syrup to pancakes. I know, I’m better than that.

We’ll keep you posted as news breaks on these Panflakes. Until then, you’ve probably seen Pancake Cereal at least once a day on your social feeds. Get to the kitchen and make yourself some, at least until Panflakes become a breakfast reality.

Pancake Cereal Is The Hottest Breakfast Trend Since Buttering Toast

Pancake Cereal might be one of the most innovative and visually amazing breakfast hacks we’ve seen come across this newsroom. Even better, it’s ridiculously easy to pull off.

The trend has been popping up all over our social feeds lately and, frankly, it’s pretty awesome.

As seen by @TheNaughtyFork‘s video, all you have to do is add pancake batter into tiny little coin shaped circles over a hot skillet. Let one side cook then, taking a spatula, carefully flip your mini pancakes over to evenly cook off the batter. What’s left is a ton of tiny little pancakes you just toss into a bowl with a pat of butter and drown in maple syrup.

Wonder how many folks are attempting this viral sensation while working from home?

BJ’s Just Revealed A Fruity PEBBLES Cereal PIZOOKIE

A few months ago, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse turned heads by creating a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal Pizookie. The decadent cookie-based dessert featured vanilla bean ice cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, and cinnamon sugar. Heralded as the first in a line of breakfast-cereal themed Pizookies, the delicious reveal left us wondering what the next pizookie offering will be.

Now, the restaurant chain has dropped the newest iteration of the breakfast cereal Pizookie in the form of a new Fruity Pebbles Cereal Pizookie. BJ’s newest dessert item features a warm sugar cookie base cooked in a deep-dish pan that’s topped with vanilla bean ice cream, and colorful spoonfuls of Fruity Pebbles cereal.

Available at participating BJ’s locations nationwide, the new dessert will only be around for a limited time. Guests who arrive on July 17, BJ’s Free Pizookie Day, will recieve a free Pizookie of their choice with a purchase of $9.95 or more.

I wonder which iconic cereal they’ll tackle next?

Inside Look: Travis Scott X Reese’s Puffs Popup in Paris

In one of the most unlikely collaborations, rapper Travis Scott and Reese’s Puffs cereal created a lot of hype this week, dropping an exclusive cereal box, bowl and spoon that all sold out in 30 seconds this past Tuesday.

While the items were sold online, Travis also officially debuted the General Mills cereal with a pop-up in Paris during Fashion Week.

With shelves full of cereal boxes, the pop-up also had Travis Scott X Reese’s Puffs merch on deck and cereal-inspired art installations.

As you would imagine, the cereal boxes are already making rounds on eBay and other after market sale apps for as low as $32. Yet with an average asking price of $120 in the after market, it’s right up there as  hypebeast collector status. Some are even putting together bundles that include the cereal, bowl and spoon, and in some instances Travis Scott streetwear items.

This isn’t Reese’s first hip hop Rodeo, however, as you probably remember past commercials with the “Reese’s Puffs Rap,” or the “Perfect Combo” rap commercial.

Hopefully all this means is that we’ll see a remake of these Reese’s Puffs commercials with Scott’s classic ambient, auto-tuned crooning.

New Drumstick Ice Cream Cereal Makes The Dessert For Breakfast Dream Come True

I’m pretty sure most of us have had that pipe dream where we envisioned a world where having ice cream for breakfast was an acceptable, and even encouraged, practice. I mean, save for our lactose-intolerant friends out there, who wouldn’t want to dive into a bowl of the cold comfort that ice cream brings every morning?

Thankfully, the wonderful folks at General Mills and Nestlé are in the dream making business, because we now have Drumstick Ice Cream cereal to look forward to! Perfect timing for the warmer months coming — and frankly, at any other time we want — the Drumstick Ice Cream Cereal will be available nationwide exclusively at Walmart starting this week. The release will feature two flavors: Classic Vanilla and Mint Chocolate.

The recent trend of breakfast cereal getting sweeter and even wackier lives on in this release, and we’re not mad at it. Not one bit. Although, eating the cereal version of Drumsticks will most likely miss our favorite part of eating them in the first place: the dense nugget of milk chocolate at the bottom of the cone.

Ah well, they say true love doesn’t fully manifest unless there’s some sacrifice, right?
