Oreos Debuts CARROT CAKE Cookies As Newest Flavor

We’re always eager to see what new flavors the Oreos factory is churning out. Last year, they added some delectable variety to their legion of flavors with the addition of Strawberry Shortcake and Rocky Road.

Now it seems one of the newest flavors to hit the snack aisle will be one for the rabbits. Or at least anyone with a taste for carrots. Yup, Nabisco just dropped Carrot Cake Oreos.

The new cookie boasts a cream cheese-flavored creme that’s sandwiched between two carrot-flavored cookies.

According to Oreos, the flavor is confirmed to be a permanent addition to the line, rather than just a seasonal offering.

Beyond that rich new offering, Nabisco is also debuting a limited edition “Love, Oreo” which features a sweet and tangy pink creme spread in between two cookie pieces with special messages like “Dunk In Love, “XOXO Oreo”, “Let’s Twist”, and “Dear Cupid Send Oreo.” These are also available now and will stay on shelves through the end of Valentine’s Day, presumably.

Carrot Cake Oreos and Love, Oreos can now be found at any grocery retailers that offer Oreos. As a huge fan of carrot cake, it’s nice to see the dessert get some love.

Turn Anything To Carrot Cake With Trader Joe’s New Spread

When my mom asked me to try carrot cake for the first time, my five-year-old self rebuked the dessert with disgust. The idea of combining cake with a vegetable was unheard of… until I tried it. Nearly 25 years later and carrot cake has maintained its spot as one of my favorite cakes of all time.

For those who just can’t get enough of the humble dessert, Trader Joe’s new Carrot Cake Spread will let you pretty much turn anything into a carrot cake.

Essentially a jam, the spread is made with minced carrots, bits of orange peel, crushed pineapples, golden raisins, and fall spices. Sweetened with cane sugar and molasses, the spread also boasts a touch of concentrate from lemon and apple juice.

You can combine it with cream cheese and create a carrot cake frosting on pretty much anything you want, or pair it with some peanut butter in a sandwich.

No joke, we picked up a jar of this from our local TJ’s and it really does capture the taste of carrot cake — though we recommend using it in moderation until you find a good balance. It’s rather sweet.

The 10-ounce jars of Carrot Cake Spread can be found at participating Trader Joe’s locations in the grocery aisle.

Carrot Cake Kisses Might Be The Sweetest Thing Hershey’s Put Out In A Minute

It’s been a minute since we found a candy we couldn’t keep our chubby fingers off of. With Easter only a few weeks away, Target brought back a seasonal flavor of Kisses that has us plunging our ham hocked hands into the the 9-oz bag of sweets.

Hershey’s is exclusively offering a sweet little bag of Carrot Cake Kisses available in stores nationwide.

The Carrot Cake Candy is both naturally and artificially flavored to taste like the iconic dessert. The Kisses themselves taste like the cake’s frosting… so super addictive.

Sweet fiends can find the 9-oz bags at participating Target stores for a limited time. We recommend pacing yourselves though. You don’t want to be at work and realize you’ve crushed an entire bag over your lunch break.

That sugar crash can be brutal.

Look at that sweet little guy.

Yogurtland’s New Looney Tunes ‘Spinach’ Flavor Has Green Apple Pop Rocks Toppings

Well this is one way to get kids to eat their veggies. Take them to Yogurtland, trick them into filling their cup with the new Marvin the Martian Kosmic Fruit Kaboom Sorbet, and your kid will be getting a serving of pineapple, banana, lime and spinach.

The chain’s first commercial flavor to feature a spinach, this appropriately green-hued frozen treat gets extra tasty when topped off with a bag of green apple Pop Rocks for a mere 59 cents.

All jokes aside, speaking from experience, spinach isn’t a prevalent flavor when blended with other sweet ingredients. So, don’t worry, the sorbet will pretty much taste like a pineapple-banana smoothie.

The new Looney Tunes flavor joins Bugs’ Carrot Cake, Daffy’s Decadent Dark Chocolate Orange, and Tweety’s Lemon Cream Cookie — all now available through September 15. Keep an eye out for Road Runner’s Cactus Berry Tart and Tasmanian Devil’s “Devil’s” Food Cake, rolling out August 19th and September 2nd, respectively.

Deconstructed Carrot Cake

Qyel Antonio is a great photographer, and by the looks of it, equally as impressive in the kitchen. He just put us on notice that he has some amazing creations coming out of his Bakery and Pastry rotation in culinary school. One that caught our eye was this deconstructed carrot cake dish, featuring a brown sugar spice cake, cream cheese mousse, carrot sauce, rum raisin ice cream and candied walnuts.
