Buffalo Wild Wings Celebrates March Madness with its First-Ever Merch Collection

Buffalo Wild Wings’ saucy wings won’t be the only thing drippy now that the chain has partnered with Overtime for its first-ever branded merchandise collection.

Buffalo Wild Wings’, the ‘Home of Overtime’, has linked up with the sports media company to celebrate March Madness with a new collection comprised of a t-shirt and hoodie with Overtime branding dripping in BWW’s iconic sauce.

The wing chain’s first-ever merch collab will drop exclusively in The Overtime Shop, which will be the world’s first apparel line that unlocks only during overtime of men’s and women’s tournament games.

Fans can cop the hoodie for $70 and the t-shirt for $40 only at once an NCAA basketball tournament game goes into overtime.

BWW is no stranger to overtime promotions, as they recently offered free wings if this year’s past Super Bowl went into an extra quarter.

Chicken wings and Doritos are prime snacking foods, especially when the game is on. Any game, really. Could be a thrilling cricket match going on, for sure chicken wings and Doritos are still hitting right. That’s why Buffalo Wild Wings’ latest partnership with Doritos is so clutch.

Today, Buffalo Wild Wings has tapped in with Doritos for a new Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili Flavored Sauce, with each order being accompanied by a bag of Doritos Spicy Sweet Chili chips. Tasting notes on the new sauce are flavors of soy sauce, brown sugar, onion, garlic and paprika. You’re Not Crazy, Buffalo Wild Wings’ Half-Off Tuesday Deal Has Disappeared

If you’ve been to a Buffalo Wild Wings lately, you’ve probably noticed that the posters, flyers, and commercials for their famed Tuesday half off wing deals are no more. It’s not just your local restaurant, as this is a nationwide thing with all company-owned stores removing the popular wing deal that often offered traditional wings for about $0.60 per wing.

The reason for Buffalo Wild Wings removing its traditional wing special can be traced back to recent sales reports that didn’t look so hot. Not to mention wholesale wing prices have slowly gone up.

Jumbo chicken wing wholesale prices have risen by 20%, costing an average of $2.09 per pound in August, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The restaurant acknowledged the rise in wholesale wing prices were a problem, while its earnings dropped by 60% in its second quarter this year.

The demand for wings is just too high, with U.S. consumers putting in more than 1 billion wing orders from June 2016 to June 2017.

This whole clusterf**k of a situation means that Buffalo Wild Wings had to make a change, luring people more toward its other menu items, without making it look like they’re alienating their wing-loving fans.

You’ll still be able to get nice specials from the restaurant, but in the form of buy one, get one free boneless wings. The reason they’re pushing boneless is because, well, they’re not really wings, and they’re made with cheaper chicken breast meat.

You’ll also notice they’ve started pushing their “Shareables” menu a lot lately, hoping you’ll forget about their traditional wings.

They’d even rather offer you unlimited fries before hooking you up with traditional wings:

With NFL season just around the corner, the last thing we want to hear is that there are chicken wing problems occurring in the U.S. I guess we’ll have to get used to grubbing on their appetizers and boneless wings more, or just pay full price for traditional.

Hit-Or-Miss Video

Buffalo Wild Wings’ Father’s Day Ad Is An Adorable Tear Jerker

There’s a good chance that when you fall to your knees, smack yourself in the head, or completely lose your mind over a team’s loss, you picked it all up from your dad, who passed on his crazy fandom down to you. With these insane rituals in your blood, Buffalo Wild Wings’ new Father’s Day ad will definitely hit you in the feels.

The video shows a father in the living room, writhing in agony as he watches his favorite basketball team (possibly the Cleveland Cavaliers) blow the game, and come out on the losing end. Beside him on the couch, is his adorable young daughter, covering her eyes, stretching out her her face with her hands, and raising her arms in defeat, just as her papa was doing.

After the father lets the team’s loss sink in, he looks over at his daughter, who has a huge smile on her face and leaps into her daddy’s arms, effectively deflating all the tension in the room.

The last words you see are, “Thanks for showing us how to love sports,” as the commercial ends.

The ad is almost Super Bowl-ish, as it was meant to make you feel something, and it succeeded, as many sports fans can watch and relate.

If this isn’t the cutest Father’s Day tribute, I don’t know what is.

Buffalo Wild Wings Wants To Take Over Taco Tuesdays With 1/2 Price Wings

Gone are the days of 50-cent wings at Buffalo Wild Wings. All that’s left is the nostalgia of stuffing your face for $5, and the limited time deals they throw out every once in a while.

Their latest deal is trying to compete with our beloved Taco Tuesdays, as B-Dubs announced that they will start offering their wings at half-off on Tuesdays. That means their on-menu Snack, Small, Medium, and Large sized traditional wings will have the discount applied. It does not work for boneless, unfortunately, but does include a side of celery and carrots with ranch or blue cheese.

If you’re an a la carte kind of person and aren’t familiar with their traditional wing sizes, the Snack size comes with 5 wings, Small has 10, Medium has 15, and large has 20. The largest size usually goes for about $26, so on Tuesdays, you could max out those 20 wings for about $13.

It sounds like they needed a reason to bring people in on Tuesdays this fall. Their Wednesdays and Thursdays are covered by their 75-cent specials. Fridays, they get the weekend warriors ready to leave behind their work worries. Then Saturday through Monday, football has the wing restaurant popping off.

It’s going to be tough to convince the taco-loving community to switch things up, but discounted wings would at least make them think about it.

New Mountain Dew Chicken Wing Sauce Coming To Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings sure goes out of their way to create tons of wing flavors. We haven’t been able to keep up with all the crazy new sauce they drown their wings in. Now, it looks like they’re gearing up to introduce another out-of-the-box wing sauce.

It’s made with Mountain Dew.

According to Grubstreet, the R&D team of the chicken wing brand has begun developing a new flavor that’s made with a Zesty Citrus Sauce, lemongrass, ginger, soy sauce, red peppers and a mix of Dew.

So the recipe will definitely be more complicated than just soaking chicken wings in the bright yellow soda. Customers can have their first taste of the new sauce beginning Dec. 14.
