Popular California Burger Chain Makes A Burger With Fried Lasagna Buns

A month ago, we reported that Slater’s 50/50 offered a breakfast-inspired Eggs Benedict Burger to start off the New Year. Now, February’s Burger of the Month is far from light as the Stuffed Lasagna Burger makes its debut.

Made with a blend of Italian sausage and ground beef patty, the burger is topped with mozzarella, Parmesan and fried basil leaves. It’s also served on a fried cheese LASAGNA BUN.

Let all that cheesy, deep-fried goodness soak into your heart for a minute.

Slater’s 50/50 recommends pairing the burger with Iron Fist Renegade Blonde. You can order the Stuffed Lasagna Burger at all participating Slater’s locations through the month of February for 13.95.

Watch These Guys Eat the Spiciest Chain Restaurant Burger

It’s called the 50 Alarm Burger, and for a chain restaurant (well, three-location chain), it’s one of the hottest, spiciest burgers you can order.

The burger features a signature fire beef patty, lined with ghost chilies, topped with sliced jalapeno, an ultra-spicy “three-alarm” Colby Jack cheese, beer battered habanero poppers, and a ghost chili bacon spread on a tame brioche bun. We swung by the Huntington Beach, CA location to give the sandwich a whirl.

Here’s a look at two of our boys signing the waiver, slipping on some gloves, and seeing who could make it. Rudy powers through it, even chomps into a second one, no problem. Geoff on the other hand, wasn’t so lucky:

Slater’s 50/50 Follows Up 100% Bacon Burger With Something So Spicy You Need a Waiver to Try

Hot off the success of their limited-time ‘Merica Burger (100% bacon patty anyone?), southern California burger chain Slater’s 50/50 is trying to make headlines once again — this time with their new ‘50 Alarm Burger.’

Coinciding with one of the hottest months of the year for Southern California, the chain’s burger of the month for August features their signature fire beef patty, topped with sliced jalapenos, three-alarm Colby Jack cheese, beer battered unseeded and aged cream cheese stuffed habanero poppers, and a ghost chili bacon spread on a white brioche bun.

Naga Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Chilies) have a Scoville Heat Unit rating in the millions, ten times hotter than a concentrated habanero. So it should be noted that when going to purchase this at Slater’s 50/50, you will be asked to sign a liability release to eat the 50 Alarm burger. You know, just to save them from any legal battles you try to wage after you get an ulcer from the eating the burger:
