Bruxie’s MEAT STREET Exclusive Is A Leg Up On Traditional Mac ‘N Cheese

Bruxie: The Original Fried Chicken & Waffle Sandwich is no stranger to innovation or stepping outside the box when it comes to inspiration. For the last few months, Bruxie has been introduced exclusive items like the Fried Chicken Cubano and the Mardi Gras-inspired Fried Chicken Po’ Boy — each served on Bruxie’s traditional crispy waffle bun. So it comes as no surprise that Bruxie is premiering a completely brand new recipe exclusively for FOODBEAST’s upcoming meat festival, Meat Street Presented by the Makers of SPAM Brand at Main Place Mall. And it’s like nothing they’ve done before!

Get your forks ready for Bruxie’s Angry Mac ‘N Cheese. A three cheese blend of parmesan, cheddar, and Bruxie cheese sauce, with a giant, golden brown, spicy fried chicken drumstick, marinated in Spicy Bruxie Sauce plunged right into the center. It’s then drizzled with buffalo sauce and topped off with chunks of smokey applewood bacon. If you love spicy and savory, be sure to get in line for this MEAT STREET exclusive.

Leave it to one of Southern California’s most well-known chicken and waffle spots to totally flip the script on what we should expect from them moving forward. Thanks for constantly keeping us on our toes, Bruxie.

MEAT STREET is going down Saturday April 22, at the Santa Ana MainPlace Mall. For more event information or tickets please visit

Tim Hortons Offers Buffalo Crunch Donut Covered in Buffalo Sauce, Tortilla Chips, and Ranch Dressing

For a second there, we were worried Burger King’s purchase of Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons would give birth to all sorts of insane savory sweet bmash-ups, but it turns out the TH is capable of creating such monstrosities on its own, thank you very much.

Now available exclusively at the 2014 New York State Fair, the Buffalo Crunch Doughnut is a yeast-based pull-apart donut drowned in hot buffalo sauce and crushed tortilla chips. There’s also a “mild” version with ranch for spice-shy Frankendonut lovers. Each goes for about $2 each, reports First We Feast.

All you really need now is a box of Chicken Fries for dipping and you’ll be golden.

Miss Alabama and Carl’s Jr.’s Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger Are Like, The Hottest Thing Ever

Don’t you hate it when you’re watching a football game and you catch a really hot lady in the bleachers taking all her clothes off and eating a giant hamburger?

Yeah, we didn’t think so.

If you haven’t heard of former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb, just know her claim to fame came after she was spotted by a sports telecaster at a football game, who simply couldn’t get over how pretty she was. You could ask which game and who won, but we’d bet the poor guy probably doesn’t remember anymore. Ah, journalism at its finest.

Now, Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s latest hottie-fueled ad for its new Buffalo Blue Cheese Burger features Miss Webb in a re-enactment of this kinda-famous scene, only with more spotlights and more Frank’s Red Hot. The burger itself includes a charbroiled beef patty drizzled in Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce and topped with Swiss cheese and blue cheese crumbles, and is available starting at $2.89 for the single. There’s also Buffalo Chicken Tenders, available only at Hardee’s, and Buffalo Blue Cheese Crisscut Fries, available only at Carl’s Jr.

You can catch the live commercial on television this week, but check out the video below for a behind-the-scenes look, including some very tasty buffalo sauce/thigh porn. Hey, it’s still better than looking at Harley’s less-than-precious mug.

Cheez-It Spicy Chicken Tenders, So Easy an NFL Running Back Can Do It

Cheez-It Spicy Chicken Tenders Super Bowl Football

You don’t need anything fancy to satisfy Football-lovers during this Superbowl Season…especially when you have this recipe for Cheez-It smothered and breaded spicy chicken tenders.

And apparently it’s endorsed by LaDainian Tomlinson, running back for the NON playoff bound New York Jets this season (ouch?). I guess that helps? Since the truth of the matter is, you’ll be hard pressed to find a running back who doesn’t love Cheez-Its and chicken tenders, so putting them together must be magical.

To the dude that claims that he can only make a bowl of cereal, this recipe is for you. It combines a whopping 3 ingredients and 5 whole steps. It’s not going to get much easier. Trust me.

Preparation Time: 15 Mins.
Total Time to Serve: 1 Hour
Servings: 5

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 3/4 cup buffalo chicken wing sauce
  • 2 cups Sunshine® Cheez-It® Hot & Spicy crackers

  1. Place chicken tenders in large plastic, zip-tip bag. Pour in buffalo chicken wing sauce. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  2. Spray large baking sheet with cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  4. Place crushed crackers on large plate.  Remove each chicken tender from marinade and roll in crackers to coat.  Place on prepared baking sheet.  Repeat with remaining tenders.  Discard any remaining marinade.
  5. Place prepared chicken in preheated oven.  Bake 15-20 minutes or until thermometer reaches 165ºF.  Serve hot.

Layered Baked Buffalo Chicken Nachos

An even more pressing question plaguing millions around the country:what type of food should we eat during the big game?! Well, I think i just found a part of our answer: the Layered Baked Buffalo Chicken Nachos. These nachos will surely get  sacked the moment they hit the table… check out the strategic recipe after the jump:

Pic of the Day: Buffalo Burger

Ground buffalo is a low-fat alternative to beef, but this burger is far from low-fat looking. Stacked with pickled onions and covered in a smoky red pepper sauce, these are bound to make your eyes water and your tastebuds scream with happiness.
