Arby’s Just Brought Back Brown Sugar Bacon And Made It 3x Thicker

A while back Arby’s introduced brown sugar bacon to their sandwiches. Essentially candied bacon, the limited-time ingredient feature crispy strips of bacon covered in brown sugar and cooked until sweet and salty come together in the ultimate meet cute.

Now, the fast food sandwich chain is bringing back the sugar-covered bacon, albeit with a slight change. The new candied bacon strips will be three times thicker than before.

Boasting a quarter of an inch in girth, the slabs of pork are featured on four Arby’s sandwiches that form the Triple Thick Lineup: Triple Thick Brown Sugar Bacon Roast Beef, Triple Thick Brown Sugar Bacon Turkey, Triple Thick Brown Sugar Bacon BLT, Triple Thick Brown Sugar Bacon Club.

What a sweet and salty mouthful, right?

The Triple Thick Brown Sugar Bacon BLT itself boasts five slices of the limited time bacon. Expect to only see the sweet and thick bacon to grace participating Arby’s locations for a limited time, most likely through the end of July.

Arby’s also couldn’t help but troll vegetarians by reopening their Vegetarian Support Hotline.

Baskin Robbins New Mother’s Day Ice Cream Tastes Like Freshly Baked Cookies

momcookie

So, Mother’s Day is coming up, and Baskin Robbins is feeling nostalgic. In honor of the afternoons spent “helping” mom cook and sneaking licks of raw cookie dough, their featured flavor for May combines brown sugar ice cream and cookie dough ribbons to create a rather sweet confection that’s meant to taste “just like mom used to make.”

Unlike their traditional Cookie Dough flavor, which features small nibs of cookie dough in vanilla cream, the awkwardly named “Mom’s Makin’ Cookies” uses “Mom’s secret recipe of brown sugar flavored ice cream filled with chocolate chip cookie pieces, chocolate flavored chips, and a delicious cookie dough batter ribbon.”

Now if only Baskin Robbins sold cookies, so we could make cookie ice cream sandwiches out of the things. Mm, dat cookie, dough.

Vietnamese Bun Burrito

Powered by a recent obsession with Vietnamese flavors and the Vietnamese Bun, this bearded foodie has created what he calls the Vietnamese Bun Burrito. Rice noodles replace traditional burrito rice and tofu replaces beans. The salsa used is made of cucumber, tomato, mint, red onion, garlic, fish sauce, lime juice and salt. The steak is marinaded with fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar and chile paste. The other fillings include fried tofu, bean sprouts, vermicelli rice stick tossed in the fish sauce, lettuce, peanut and sriracha.

Texas-Sized Muffins

Good top o’ the morning to ya!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day… I’m pretty sure that’s been established. Luckily for me it is also my favorite meal of the day, and I always look forward to jumping out of bed and diving straight into that kitchen for my cup of coffee and a delicious morning treat.

Eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes – you name it, I make it. But, one of my favorite morning treats to bake is a big ol’ scrumptious muffin. I like muffins because I can get really creative with these little guys; I can add veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds…whatever my heart desires, and I can make them taste pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.

Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps

The title is a bit misleading, I know. Just so we’re clear, a “wrap” doesn’t necessarily mean bread is on the menu. These Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps are made with boneless skinless chicken breasts, bacon, brown sugar and chili powder! So in this case, bacon is the wrap! (Thx VeryCulinary)

Dark Chocolate Yogurt Cake

Dark Chocolate Yogurt Cake is probably one of the healthiest desserts I’ve seen in a long time. Dark chocolate and yogurt are actually somewhat good for your body. They carry healthy protein and antioxidants, so eat up! The cake is made of brown sugar, dark cocoa powder, and 2% plain Greek yogurt. The dark cocoa syrup has base of dark chocolate and vanilla extract. Being healthy never tasted so good! (Thx HowSweetItIs)
