Clever Artist Turns Worst Break Up Lines Into Baked Goods

Breaking up with someone is never easy, unless you’re an asshole and just use the same old cliche lines. Well, this collection of food art by Isabella Giancarlo is dedicated to you guys.

According to her website, “‘Eat Your Heart Out’ is a series of words remembered from break-ups reimagined as something sweet.”

Her juxtaposition between a sour memory and a sweet treat makes you want to simultaneously laugh and cry when you see them, invoking feelings of sadness, cheer and most of all, hunger.

Giancarlo’s website even has a section in which visitors on the site can submit their name, email and the quote that stuck out to them the most when their loved one was letting them down big time. Check out the best one we could find below.

Well try harder, f***er.

Really? Didn’t even know you could think.

I looked it up, the average is 5.5 inches. It’s enough.

Plantable ‘BREAK UP BEANS’ Are The New Worst Way To End Your Relationship

Breaking up via text is pretty much the worst way to end a relationship. Until now! ThinkGeek is selling these Break Up Beans. It’s a kit that includes all the things you need to let your significant other know that you are dunzo with a living, breathing plant.

The beans take about 5 days to pop out, revealing the messages “It’s Over” and “Let’s Be Friends.” Just the right amount of time to skip town, change your name, and start afresh with someone new. But Karma? Oh, karma will getcha. It might be the following month or it could be years down the road, but it’ll getcha. Watch your back. Jk jk, sorry, I’ve just always wanted to say that.

This Woman Got Dumped by Her Boyfriend and Camped Out at KFC for a Week

Everyone takes breakups a little differently. Some eat tubs of ice cream and get familiar with the “Emotional Independent Dramas for Hopeless Romantics” category on Netflix. Others might spend their time at a bar getting hammered and singing an endless number of Journey songs during karaoke night. This woman decided to make herself at home at a KFC for a whole week.

Apparently KFCs in China are open 24 hours a day, because Tan Shen, 26, went in for some chicken wings and set up shop for a while.

According to Metro UK, she needed time to think about her recent breakup and didn’t want to go back to her apartment to deal with the talking walls, screaming endless memories at her.

Three days in, workers finally noticed that Shen had been there for a very, very long time. They wanted to know what was up, but she just ordered more wings, kept doing her thing and took her time thinking about the love that was.

Once reporters started coming in, it was time for her to go.

Food might not make the pain go away, but it sure helps.

Better Than a Text Message: ‘Break Up Candy’ for Your Soon-To-Be-Ex

Breaking up is hard to do, but these sweet treats make the process a little less bitter.  Designed by Kathy Mueller for her graduate school project, “Clean Break” candy are made to be given to a soon-to-be ex, taking a bit of the sting out of a break up.  Lemonheads, maple sugar candies, and a chocolate bacon bar complete the trio.  I don’t know about you, but chocolate and bacon sound like a great combo to me if I was getting dumped (I’ll take some in ice cream form too, please).

The slogans on the packaging reference the candy itself.  The bacon bar, for example, says “Bacon and chocolate are a match made in heaven. . . You and me, not so much.” The candy also comes with cards you can fill out with reasons for leaving.  You know, so you don’t go crazy and starting throwing a fit in public in front of them.  It’s all about “breaking it off with taste.”

don't get sappy

We’ve got to give Mueller credit for the cute design and genius idea.  Besides, candy is always better than a breakup text.
