Talenti’s Newest Gelato Flavor Is Inspired By A Bravo Top Chef’s Winning Dish

Back in April, Taleni Gelato linked with Bravo’s Top Chef and hosted a “Quickfire” challenge, where the winning dessert would inpsire its next gelato flavor.

The winning dessert wound up being made by Chef Avishar Barua, and is now on grocery store frozen aisle shelves in the form of Talenti Layers Peanut Butter Crunch.

Talenti never shies away from the indulgent so the following deets of this new gelato flavor are sure to excite fans. It starts with a layer of creamy peanut butter gelato, followed by a portion of crunchy graham cracker pieces, which then features a brown butter sugar sauce layered on smooth vanilla gelato, and all of which has a foundational layer being a whole squad of peanut butter cups.

Wow. Let me go find a spoon big enough for me to take this down in one bite.

Chrissy Teigen Admits To Baking Kanye A Terrible Cheesecake

Chrissy Teigan has become a goddess in the food world, as the model has positioned herself to be a go-to source for everyday recipes. That doesn’t make her infallible, though, and she recalled an embarrassing time when she served Kanye West a cheesecake that was barely a cheesecake.

While on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” Teigen and hubby John Legend talked about the infamous cheesecake, saying that it tasted more like flan — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

“I’ve made a bad meal for a celebrity friend before,” Teigen said. “I made a cheesecake for Kanye… it was very bad.”

Legend backed up his wife, saying that the cake still tasted good, but it wasn’t necessarily a cheesecake. Apparently Kanye kind of nodded his head and said, “This is kind of flan-ish.”

Obviously, Kanye didn’t insult his friends, but the incident still embarrassed Teigen to the point that she’s never tried to make the cheesecake again.

You’d think Teigen would own it and call it a flan cake or something. Maybe it wasn’t what she intended, but I honestly hope it’s in her next cookbook.

Bodega: A Dale Talde x DQM Family Meal

If you’re following this season of Top Chef All Stars on Bravo, then you probably have a decent idea of who Dale Talde is. What you probably didn’t know is Dale is a Hypebeast [holler?] at heart, which you may have caught glimpses of throughout the show.

DQM (Dave’s Quality Meats for all of you that neglect the NYC streetwear industry) decided to turn their offices into a one night pop-up restaurant for friends and family, with Talde holding it down in the kitchen. Both pork belly ramen and a rack of venison were on the menu for the night, as well as a potato chip and pretzel tart with salted caramel chocolate ganache. In typical DQM fashion, they made special edition tees available to all that attended the event. Check out some of the photos from the night after the jump from Hypebeast‘s coverage:
