Bruegger’s Bagels Just Launched A Massive Brunch Box That Feeds An Entire Family

My early morning bagel runs have become something I’ve missed terribly since the “Stay At Home” mandate was issued over here in California. Sure, someone more masterful in the kitchen can probably make their own bagels to spread with cream cheese, but let’s not kid ourselves that I’d be one of those individuals. Give me a shop bagel caked in garlic and onion any day of the week.

For those missing their bagel fix, Bruegger’s Bagels is offering a Hot & Ready Brunch Box that will essentially feed an entire family of 6-8 — or a dude like myself who just misses his morning routine for at least a couple meals.

The box includes 6 fresh baked bagels, a tube of cream cheese, 1 Farmhouse Egg Sandwich, 2 Egg, Peppered Bacon & Cheddar Sandwiches, 4 Blueberry Muffins, and 4 Twice Baked Hash Browns.

Yes. That’ll do nicely.

For anyone interested in getting their hands on this delightful Brunch Box, you can find it at any participating Bruegger’s Bagels location for $29.99. If you’re noting looking to leave the house, home delivery is available through DoorDash.

This Watch Was Built To Hold A Tiny Meal Inside

After waiting for what felt like an eternity, somebody finally decided to start putting food inside of accessories. One Kyoto-based company called Takii Seeds may give Apple and its highly advanced watch a run for their money.

The company has created a watch that contains a tiny amount of food in it for when you need a small snack on the go. Although the hungry man in me is stoked about this invention, the practical part of me sees that, alas, the watch is just as ridiculous as the Apple Watch, only in a much different but equally grand way.

In order to make the watch both perfect and functional, Takii Seeds brought in several professionals at their crafts, including a master watch craftsman for the design, a plastic surgeon to cut the food into tiny, proper pieces, a diorama expert to arrange the food inside the watch, and a very popular chef to cook the food. The watch even comes with two tiny, extendable chopsticks.

Unfortunately, this watch was only done as a publicity stunt and is not for sale, nor is it even being manufactured. Let’s just hope that my plans for whiskey-filled cufflinks get greenlit.

FDA Is Banning Certain Pizza Boxes We Use Cause They Might Kill Us

Pizza-Box-FDA

In a shocking development for pizza lovers, the Food and Drug Administration is saying that there are chemicals in your pizza boxes that may cause serious health problems.

Three substances are being banned by the FDA, specifically for the waxy pizza boxes designed to prevent grease and water from soaking in. The substances all contain perfluoroalkyl ethyl which are classed as aspoly and perfluoroalkyl substances.

These chemicals are said to increase health problems and increase the risk of cancer as they can stay in the body for years. Common household items like wax pastry bags and microwave popcorn bags may also contain the substances.

Numerous health groups filed a petition against the chemicals leading to the ban which went into effect Monday.

McDonald’s Testing Family Packs in Kansas City, Perfect for Tailgating

blitzbox

Here’s the thing, you order a bucket of chicken from the KFC drive-thru, people tend to understand you’re ordering for a group. You order 5 Big Macs and 10 large fries, you’ve got to expect at least one person is thinking you’re just a big ol’ fattie.

But maybe not much longer. Burger Business reports McDonald’s is currently testing a multi-person boxed meal in Kansas City, Mo. as part of a promotional sponsorship for the Kansas City Chiefs. Dubbed the “Blitz Box,” the meal includes two Quarter Pounders with Cheese, two medium fries and a 20 piece serving of Chicken McNuggets, all for $14.99.

As it stands, McDonald’s has not announced any plans to take the combo even regional, let alone nationwide. Although, similar family-sized meals have been tested before in the Czech Republic, Australia and Malaysia. My only request? Make that ish customizable, like KFC’s Original, Crispy or Grilled buckets or Taco Bell’s DLT-variety pack. Heck, it might even get me to watch football.

This Bento Box Shaped Like a PS3 Sadly Doesn’t Play Any Games

Imagine, you’re sitting on the playground getting ready for lunch when you whip out this little beauty: a bento lunch box designed to look like a PS3. You watch as your classmates’ eyes widen in awe, then eventually crinkle in sadness when they finally realize that no, your mom didn’t let you bring your console to school, and even if she did, you wouldn’t have any TV out here to play it on anyhow.

And then everyone continues on with life as usual. The end.

Anticlimactic fairy tales aside, Sony is launching its new bento design in commemoration of its popular Final Fantasy and Metal Gear game series. The work required to create the masterpiece involved a laser cutting machine, traditional Japanese woodwork and a lacquer treatment in Kyoto — ooh, ahhh.

S’far as we can tell, the PS3 bento isn’t available for sale just yet. (What can I say, Google Translated Engrish is confusing.) But when it does go commercial, it’s sure to make an awesome belated Christmas present for all the momma’s boy gamers in your life.
