It looks like White Claw Pizza is now a thing, and while my eyes are rolling, the lover of all things pizza within in me has to admit my curiosity is piqued.

Love it or hate it, the popular alcoholic selzter is getting its very own limited-time pizza for one day only.

Blaze Pizza will offer an exclusive pizza with a crust made with Mango White Claw in place of filtered water at more than 40 of their locations across the United States.

Since Blaze is known best for their build your own pizza model, Blaze executive chef Brad Kent recommends a few toppings to pair with the White Claw Crust. This includes the signature red sauce, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, roasted red pepper, jalapeno, pineapple, and a fresh arugula finish after its done baking.

Blaze Pizza Cancels Annual Pi-Day Deal Due To Coronavirus

It has become tradition at Blaze Pizza to sell its personal-sized pizzas for $3.14 every March 14.

The day itself is known nationally as “Pi-Day” and Blaze takes advantage by selling its pies for cheap.

However, with recent fears over the spread of the coronavirus, and recommendations to stay away from large crowds, Blaze has decided not to go forward with its usual in-store “Pi-Day” deal.

It is not unusual for huge lines to form for this day, as a $3 pizza is pretty solid compared to its usual $8-$10.

Fans will still get a chance to celebrate, though, as those who use the Blaze Pizza app will automatically have $3.14 added to their account, starting March 16. In order to get the reward, you will have to have the app downloaded and the account created by 11:59 p.m., Sunday March 15.

Is it the same as getting a whole pie for that price? No, but it is something.

Hopefully by this time next year, things will go back to normal, and we can all enjoy our usual Pi-Day discount.

7-Eleven is capitalizing on Pi Day to promote their 7Now app, which can be used to get up to 2 whole pizzas for $3.14 each via delivery. There’s also 50-cent slices available in stores, requiring the app to get the necessary coupon to redeem.

On Pi Day, you can score a Mini Deep Dish pizza, made with a single topping of your choice, for $3.14 at BJ’s locations nationwide. You can only utilize this deal when dining in.

This UberEats deal can be applied to basically any restaurant serving pizza, as those restaurants will get a $3.14 delivery fee reduction with the code PIDAY19. The promo is good through March 17th, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see other delivery apps popping up with last-minute discount codes as well.

Kevin Durant Invests In Pieology, Battles Lebron For Pizza Supremacy

A post shared by Pieology Pizzeria (@pieology) on

The rivalry between Kevin Durant and Lebron James is moving from the basketball court to the pizza industry, as Durant just invested in Pieology, the popular build-your-own pizza chain.

According to ESPN, Durant will not only have a stake in Pieology, but will actually be a franchise owner, as well. Apparently Durant was really impressed with how quickly the pizza was made, and he was sold on the Pieology quality.

A post shared by Kevin Durant (@kevindurant) on

Fellow NBA superstar Lebron James has found amazing success with his investment in Blaze Pizza, another build-your-own-pizza restaurant. In fact, Blaze Pizza was actually the fastest growing restaurant chain in U.S. history. Probably not all because of Lebron, but Blaze’s CEO did publicly credit Lebron for part of their success, saying he’s been a huge help with brand awareness.

Although Durant’s social media presence isn’t as vast as Lebron’s, Pieology believes that he brings huge value to the brand, saying, “We recognize what KD can bring to us as a partner… especially with his social following.”

A post shared by LeBron James (@kingjames) on

We may or may not see him in Pieology advertising, as he isn’t necessarily signing on to be a spokesperson, but it probably wouldn’t hurt as we’ve seen Lebron “work” a shift during his Blaze partnership, and use his celebrity status to help the brand.

While Durant said his partnership with Pieology had nothing to do with Lebron, you have to think he wants to do better than his rival.

Blaze Pizza Hosts “Noncon4mist Day” Pizza Party on National Taco Day

A post shared by Blaze Pizza (@blazepizza) on

As you may already know, today is National Taco Day. Amazing nationwide deals have been popping up so that customers can join the festivities and celebrate accordingly.

Blaze Pizza is now elbowing their way into that celebration by hosting a pop-up pizza party of their own called “Noncon4mist Day.” The LeBron James-backed pizza company is attempting to celebrate anyone who blazes new trails by offering any Signature or Build Your Own Pizza for $4 after 4 p.m. on October 4th. Guests will also receive a $4 coupon to redeem on their next visit, which is redeemable through their Blaze Pizza mobile app.

Although it’s worth questioning why Blaze Pizza won’t just stay loyal to one holiday like National Pizza Day, a deal’s a deal.

Lebron Helps Blaze Pizza Become Fastest Growing Restaurant Chain In U.S. History

The combination of Lebron James’s influence, and the idea of almost instant brick-fire pies has led Blaze Pizza to officially become the fastest-growing restaurant chain in U.S. history.

With humble beginnings in Southern California, the chain started out with two stores in Irvine and Pasadena. Now, with its July 11 grand opening in Mentor, Ohio, the chain has opened 200 locations in just four years, according to Forbes.

With modest sales of $6 million in 2013, Blaze has jumped up all the way to $185 million  in 2016. Their goal this year is to reach $285 million, and $1.1 billion by the end of 2022.

Lebron James has been riding with them since the beginning, becoming an investor, endorser, and even working a shift at the pizza place.

With over 31 million Instagram followers, 37 million Twitter followers, and 23 million Facebook followers, anytime James posts about the pizza place, there are a massive amount of eyes on it.  Blaze’s CEO Jim Mizes even gave James some credit, saying that he holds a lot of weight as far as brand awareness.

With the current boom of build-your-own pizza places, from PizzaRev to Pieology, Blaze seems to be leading the pack, with a superstar celebrity backing them.
