S’MORES BITES From Sun Maid Are Made For Summer Snacking

For the majority of my life, I’ve always associated Sun Maid with raisins. Not such the case anymore, as the brand has expanded their offerings beyond their iconic raisins.

Sun Maid has launched a line of “Bites” that encompass a variety of sweet snacks you can enjoy on the go.

One of the most notable new additions are S’mores Bites, which include graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, and raisins packed into a bite-sized morsel.

It’s essentially like cramming a campfire experience into a 6-oz bag. You can buy these new Sun Maid Bites now at Meijer stores as well as Amazon.

Other Bite additions include PB&J, Birthday Cake, and Banana Split all containing raisins.

Trader Joe’s Just Made French Onion Soup In Handheld Form

Despite my sensitivity to lactose, I can’t pass up on a solid bowl of French onion soup. The marriage of caramelized onions, savory stock, and stringy, crispy cheese have joined together to warm my bones on more than one cold occasion.

For those who can’t get enough of French Onion Soup but lack the time needed to dote over a pot of onions for four hours, Trader Joe’s has released a variation that’s a bit easier to prep.

Their new French Onion Soup Bites with Caramelized Onions & Swiss Cheese is a mouthful in more ways than just its name. The new frozen appetizer is made with a doughy wrapper that’s stuffed with caramelized onions and Swiss cheese, and seasoned with a vegetable broth base.

You’re essentially biting into French Onion soup, just minus the mess, and I’m completely down with that. Anything to satiate those soup cravings.

Guests can find these bites in the frozen foods aisle at your local Trader Joe’s in 8.46-ounce boxes for $4.49.

How Bad Do You Want These Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bites?

General Mills just announced what could possibly one of their sweetest additions since the original Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal: Bite-sized mini donuts.

In their recent announcement of new Summer 2017 products, the breakfast cereal and snack company revealed that they’ll be launching Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bites.

While probably still good with milk, these warm donut-hole like pastries are dusted with cinnamon sugar and filled with a sweet cinnamon filling and can be eaten on the go. All you have to do is pop those balls in the microwave for 30 seconds.

You can find the bites available at the frozen food aisle of your local grocery retailer in boxes of 18 pieces. The bites will presumably be around through the end of summer.

The Infamous Mac & Cheese That Got A Hostile College Kid Arrested

With the UConn incident making waves, we had to dig around to find out what’s so special about that macaroni the 19-year-old student was arrested for. Luke Gatti was arrested after a public display of aggressive intoxication which originated from his desire for bacon jalapeño macaroni and cheese.

Recorded at the Union Street Market of the University of Connecticut Student Union, was Gatti’s drunken tirade on the manager. Allegedly, Gatti arrived at the union drunk and was asked by the manager to leave after he opened a beer. He even admits to being underaged in the video.

He goes on for about 9 minutes demanding the mac and cheese. While we’re not condoning this idiot’s actions in any way, this mac and cheese looks amazing. Seriously, check it out.

UConn lists the mac and cheese at $2.90 for a large with an additional charge of 50-cents for access to the toppings bar. Sounds like the perfect college dish.

Barstool Sports reports that, after the incident, one of the campus eateries even created a calzone stuffed with macaroni and cheese in Gatti’s honor. Also looks delicious.

While Gatti has officially moved off the campus, no word yet on whether he’s been expelled.

If Nick from Dude Foods has mastered anything, it’s bacon. This time, however, he’s truly outdone himself.

Taking peanut butter and throwing into ice cube trays, the peanut butter is frozen into perfect cubes. Nick then dosed them in flour and egg wash and wrapped some bacon around them.

Throwing it into the fryer, what happens is a magic known only as Deep Fried Bacon Wrapped Peanut Butter Balls.

Pizza Hut Officially Announces Hot Dog-Stuffed Crust Pizza

Pizza Hut has announced that they’ll be releasing the new Hot Dog Bites Pizza.

Earlier this week, Pizza Hut teased that something big was coming. Referencing the infamous hot dog-stuffed crust pizzas found at Pizza Hut UK, Australia and South Korea locations, the pizza chain told loyal customers to keep an eye out on June 18.

Looks like it’s official.

The pie will be available as a large one-topping and feature a crust made from 28 bite-sized hot dogs. Each mini hot dog can be dipped into a free side of French’s mustard. While it’s not as crazy as some of the international offerings, we’re pretty excited just to get a variation here in the US.

Baby steps, guys.

The Hot Dog Bites Pizza is available for $11.99 at all participating Pizza Hut locations in the US starting on June 18.
