In honor of Jimmy Fallon’s second season on the air with show “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” ice cream entrepenuers Ben & Jerry paid the show a visit to announce the brand’s latest flavor, Late Night Snack. The flavor, named and branded after Jimmy Fallon, encompasses both savory and sweet spectrums. Ingredients include Frair Trade Certified vanilla ice cream, fudge covered potato chip clusters & a salty caramel swirl. A seemingly perfect indulgent flavor for those late night munchies.
Marking the legalization of same-sex marriages in Vermont, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company temporarily changed the name of its popular “Chubby Hubby” ice cream to “Hubby Hubby” for the month of September. In partnership with Freedom to Marry, a marriage equality group, Ben & Jerry’s renaming of the ice cream “aims to raise awareness of the importance of marriage equality and to encourage other states to follow the blazing trails of Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Iowa, and Maine.” As for now, this new “Hubby Hubby” ice cream is only sold in Vermont for the rest of this month, and for those unfamiliar, it’s made up of fudge covered peanut butter filled pretzels in vanilla malt ice cream, rippled with fudge and peanut butter. Sounds delicious. What do you think? (Thx TheStew)
I stepped into my car to go get some lunch about an hour ago, and my car temperature read 114 degrees F. F is right. The heatwaves are here, and what better way to embrace it than with Ben & Jerry’s Annual Free Cone Day!? That’s right, tomorrow, April 21st, head to your local Ben & Jerry’s between the hours of noon and 8:00 p.m. to get your free cone!
Vermont based ice cream company, Ben & Jerry’s, has teamed up with the nonpartisan, non profit advocacy organization Common Cause to put forth a re-branded version of their butter pecan flavor, calling it “Yes Pecan!” in its Scoop Shops for the month of January. This is an honorary addition to their shops in collaboration of the theme “Yes, We Can” and for the celebration of the new President of the United States, Barack Obama. (Thx Newsday, Slashfood)
Democracy is on the rise? News just in that acclaimed ice creamers Ben & Jerry’s will be giving away free ice cream scoops to ALL customers on election day, November 4th, 2008 from the hours of 5 PM – 8 PM. Their original plan was to allocate the free ice cream to just those who voted, but instead, it looks like they’re just throwing a national party! Find a Ben & Jerry’s near you, and get your sweet tooth craved! (Thx Taylor)
