Ben & Jerry’s Wants to Thank You With Free Ice Cream

Prepare yourself for the 10th of April. Drink plenty of water the night before. Have a balanced diet the days leading up to it. Try to exercise. Most importantly, keep your sugar intake to a minimum.

Why? Ben & Jerry’s is trying to kill us all. Well, not really, but that fateful Tuesday will test the population’s self control because for that day only anyone and everyone is invited by the ice cream giant to indulge in a free cone or cup.

Now, you might not think that one cone or cup is enough to call for some changes in diet, but add in the fact that Ben & Jerry’s is ready to let people stand right back in line after they get their cone. Now you get the warning?

With 35 flavors to choose from at any Scoop Shop in the US, this calls for a full on ice-cream day-trip with anyone willing to freeze their blood.

Since 1979, Ben & Jerry’s has been doing this Free Scoop Day as a way to show gratitude to the customers that have kept them going from the start.

It’s no shock since then that the flavors of ice cream have grown, no longer are your free scoops fixated to either a chocolate or vanilla. It’s 2018, we’ve got Phish Food, my guy.

This is the best opportunity for anyone not familiar with the plethora of flavors Ben & Jerry’s offers to get a taste. There’s over 30 reasons to stand in line and spend the day eating ice cream.

Halo Top Is Finally Launching Their First Scoop Shop In Los Angeles

The low-calorie, high-protein ice cream brand that captured everyone’s heart is finally launching their first scoop shop in Los Angeles.

“Healthy ice cream,” an oxymoron that Halo Top has somehow turned into reality, is the hottest new trend that won’t die down anytime soon. If you don’t believe us, check the numbers. Halo Top is currently the best-selling pint of ice cream, even surpassing ice cream giants like Ben & Jerry’s and Häagen-Dazs.

With insane popularity like that, it’d be foolish for them to lose momentum at such a pivotal time of their success. So what’s the next step? A brick and mortar in one of the nation’s most health-conscious cities, of course.

Located on the second-floor dining terrace of the Westfield Topanga mall, the shop will be serving their classic pint flavors but will also introduce new soft-serve flavors including chocolate, vanilla bean, strawberry, birthday cake, and peanut butter cup. You can even liven up your ice cream by opting to create your own ice cream sandwiches with their high-protein, vegan cookies, or by adding some fresh fruit toppings.

The scoop shop is set to open on Wednesday, November 15. Die-hard fans who plan to go on opening day will be able to enjoy complimentary soft-serve and ice cream from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ben & Jerry’s Rips Donald Trump For Pulling Out Of The Paris Climate Accord

Yesterday, Donald Trump announced that he was pulling the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord, making us just one of three nations worldwide no longer actively taking steps to combat climate change.

Since then, many have called out Donald Trump on his fallacious decision, but nobody has been as harsh on him as Ben & Jerry’s has. The ice cream company launched a scathing satirical post entitled “6 Reasons Pulling Out of the Paris Climate Agreement Was Totally, Definitely the Right Move” that hammers Trump by highlighting the consequences of turning his back on global climate change efforts. One of the harshest parts of the article include ingredient replacements like “human despair,” “penguin meat,” and “covfefe” for when climate change wipes out the ability to cultivate cocoa or vanilla for our most beloved ice cream flavors.

Ben & Jerry’s didn’t stop at that post. An open letter from CEO Jostein Solheim published in the Huffington Post calls out Trump for putting the US on the “wrong side of history” and noting that the global economy is moving towards clean, renewable energy, even if the so-called leader of the free world is refusing to head in that direction.

The overall message that Ben & Jerry’s gets across is clear: Despite Donald Trump’s misguided actions to damage our global reputation as a leader in the fight against climate change, the world won’t halt its efforts to reduce pollution and emissions that our country was instrumental in producing. And neither will many of the companies within the United States that have taken up that fight as well.

Ben & Jerry’s Just Dropped A Bob Marley Ice Cream Flavor And We Feel Alright

Give thanks and praise to the Lord, because Ben & Jerry’s has got a new ice cream flavor and it’s all about reggae god Bob Marley.

The new flavor, called “Bob Marley’s One Love,” is a dank combination of banana ice cream, caramel and graham cracker swirls, and pieces of fudge in the shape of peace signs.

The flavor was made in conjunction with the Marley family, and a portion of the sales Ben & Jerry’s brings in on Bob Marley’s One Love will be going to the ice cream company’s new youth empowerment program in Jamaica. Called the One Love Youth Camp, the program was created in partnership with Partners for Youth Empowerment (PYE Global) and aims to teach lessons and encourage people to express themselves via art, creative writing, and music.

The Marley-inspired ice cream is now making its way into grocery stores nationwide in pint form, and will also be available in Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops.

Bernie Sanders Casually Delivers Speech From Inside A Ben & Jerry’s Container

Senator Bernie Sanders casually posted a photo of himself speaking from the inside of a Ben & Jerry’s container. In the typical inspirational Sanders way, his tweet read, “When we stand up and fight back we can change the country in very positive ways.”

He didn’t once acknowledge that his podium looked like a giant tub of delicious ice cream, but thankfully Ben & Jerry’s let everyone know that the senator was at their St. Albans, Vermont factory, speaking to employees.

Sanders, of course, is from Vermont, so it makes some sense that he stays in touch with his peeps. Still, Ben & Jerry’s had to have done this on purpose, knowing it would look hilarious.

Twitter users went in on the picture as well:

Even funnier is the fact that the ice cream company made a Bernie Sanders flavor, calling it Bernie’s Yearning, and selling a limited amount during his presidential campaign last April.

Shout out to Bernie for collabing with Ben & Jerry’s to keep that sweetness running through Vermont.

Ben & Jerry’s NEW Cereal Milk Ice Creams Are The Perfect ‘Splashback’

The best part of having cereal for breakfast in the morning was the milk leftover at the end. It was always sweeter and carried the flavor of the cereal, making it feel like you were drinking a sugary beverage instead of just regular old milk.

Ben & Jerry’s has decided to recapture that nostalgia and brought three of our childhood favorite cereals back to life with their brand-new line of cereal milk ice creams. Called “Cereal Splashbacks,” each of the ice creams is made with a cereal milk ice cream base that will take you back to your youth.

For one of the flavors, the “Fruit Loot” ice cream is a throwback tribute to Froot Loops cereal, and has a pleasant cereal swirl inside of the cereal milk ice cream that serves as the base of this kid-like flavor. It’s got a touch of that light, distinct flavor that we associate with Froot Loops, and definitely took me back to Saturday mornings on the first bite.

Another of the new offerings captures one of the most quintessential childhood cereals in ice cream form with the “Frozen Flakes” ice cream. The crispy cereal may not be frosted in this ice cream, but it doesn’t need to be with all of the cold and creamy cereal milk ice cream surrounding it.

ben jerry cocoa loco

The final cereal flavor that Ben & Jerry’s is turning into ice cream is “Cocoa Loco.” We were all definitely “kookoo” for the crunchy chocolate cereal this dessert is based on, so it’ll probably be a lot of fun to try it in ice cream form. This has a special chocolate cereal milk ice cream base and crispy chocolate cereal running through it, making it the most unique of the three new Cereal Splashback flavors.

If you want a scoop of one or all of these cereal milk ice cream flavors, make sure to head to a Scoop Shop starting TODAY to pick it up nationwide. Additionally, if you live in New York City, there’s a special event celebrating the new flavors at Grand Central Station going on today from 9 am – 7 pm. Head to Vanderbilt Hall and jump into a massive cereal bowl ball pit, win prizes, and try free samples of the three new flavors.

The three flavors will also be coming to New Zealand, Singapore, and Australia in September.

Now excuse me while I go grab a couple of pints of these ice creams, put on my pajamas, and watch Pokemon cartoons. Who says I can’t be a little kid at my age?

A Close-Up Look At Ben & Jerry’s SIX Brand New Ice Cream Flavors

Alright, Foodbeast fam. I know that we’ve posted a lot of the surprise releases of vegan ice creams that Ben & Jerry’s have dropped on us, and you’ve been waiting to hear back for official confirmation of these bad boys.

Turns out that we just don’t have the three vegan ice cream flavors that we’ve covered previously to reveal to y’all. But actually, Ben & Jerry’s has released SIX total new ice cream flavors, all scheduled to be in stores starting in mid-February (basically, right now).

Here’s a close-up look at each of the six new flavors, see which ones you like, and then head into stores to give them a try:

Vegan Ice Creams

Caramel Almond Brittle

caramelalmondbrittle (1)

A pretty straightforward vegan ice cream; this one comes with swirls of salted caramel and chunks of almond brittle embedded throughout the ice cream. A cool twist on the salted caramel trend, and a nice touch for vegan nutty ice cream lovers.

Cherry Garcia

This classic flavor is finally getting a vegan spin from Ben & Jerry’s. It consists of cherries and chocolate — a time-honored combination that already has a traditional ice cream form, but now gets its own vegan version for dairy-free ice cream lovers to enjoy.

Coconut Seven Layer Bar

coconut7layer (1)

These common party desserts are getting transformed into ice cream, with coconut, fudge, walnuts, graham crackers, and a caramel swirl making their way into this pint. This flavor has literally everything but the kitchen sink, and promises to hit on every flavor note imaginable.

Traditional Ice Creams

Urban Bourbon

The most noticeable trait of this new ice cream is that it contains “Burnt Caramel,” a flavor that chefs crave over traditional caramel and compliments the bourbon caramel swirl, almonds, and fudge flakes in this ice cream perfectly.

Truffle Kerfuffle

Salty-sweet desserts are more popular than ever, and while everyone tends to stick with burnt caramel, Ben & Jerry’s decided not to sleep on the salted chocolate game either. They put a salted chocolate ganache swirl in their vanilla ice cream for this flavor, then crammed it with fudge chips and roasted pecans for another salt/nut/sweet combo that will take your taste buds for a whirl.

Oat of This Swirled

This ice cream flavor contains oatmeal cinnamon cookie chunks and fudge flakes embedded within a brown butter ice cream. Brown butter has got to be one of the most delicate but delicious flavors in the world. I’ve only seen it in ice creams at fancier restaurants or dessert places, so to find this in a Ben & Jerry’s pint is interesting and makes me want to give it a go.

Which of these ice cream flavors are you most excited about? As these roll out in stores, grab a pint or two and give them a go.

In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for Ben & Jerry’s to hopefully drop even more flavors in the near future.

Ben & Jerry’s Just Dropped ANOTHER New Vegan Ice Cream On Us

After dropping two new vegan ice cream flavors on us unexpectedly, Ben & Jerry’s decided to go a step further and drop one more on us.

Pints of a new Caramel Almond Brittle have been popping up in grocery stores across the West Coast, as the above Instagram post shows one found at a Safeway in Kirkland, Washington. VegNews also reported on a similar pint found in an Albertson’s in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The product has also been spotten in Hannaford grocery stores, as a picture and page of the new vegan ice cream have appeared on their website as well.

We’ve reached out to the Ben & Jerry’s team and haven’t heard anything as of yet, but we’ll update here once we know more.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for this new flavor in your local stores, and if you snag a pint or two, let us know how it is!
