Pringles Launches Limited-Edition SWEET CORN Can

One of the many staples of a proper summer barbecue is some sweet and buttery corn on the cob. While many of us may not be barbecuing outside anytime soon, that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy those flavors from the comfort of our homes.

Some needed corn comfort now arrives in the form of a Pringles can. That’s right, the newest Pringles flavor is Sweet Corn.

The chip boasts the sweet and salty flavor of fresh corn, cooked corn, and creamy butter all fused into a crispy bite. Apparently those who have already tried it say it really does taste like sweet corn on the cob — a fantastic sign for any chip that’s flavored after their namesake.

Need to cop a can or too ASAP. Freakin’ love corn.

You can pick up Pringles new Sweet Corn cans now at participating Walgreens locations nationwide while supplies last.

Gozney Offers Free Outdoor Oven to Out of Work Pizza Chefs

Photo: Rich Webley for Gozney

Life has a tendency to queue the positive up to follow the negative. Reduced to take out and delivery, the coronavirus has dealt the restaurant industry a massive blow. The future is uncertain for small businesses and there’s industry-wide job loss. Thankfully, uncertainty breeds inventiveness and the way the world has responded to COVID-19 has been nothing short of inventive.

In such an example, UK-based oven maker Gozney, known for the Gozney Roccbox outdoor portable pizza oven, has just announced that they will be offering free ovens to out-of-work chefs.

Launched in 2016, the Gozney Rocbox is widely recognized as the #1 outdoor portable pizza oven. Using the same professional design and materials, it’s the world’s first restaurant-grade outdoor oven, reaching temperatures of a fiery 950°F/500°C. With just the Gozney Roccbox, a smartphone, and social media, you’ll essentially be able to transform your home into the neighborhood’s new go-to pizza spot.

Gozney wanted to give out-of-work chefs the opportunity to still earn money doing what they love, while feeding a world full of hungry quarantiners. How it works is, if you’re a chef that’s interested, you can apply here. Successful submissions will receive a Gozney Roccbox free of charge, along with an affiliate link which tracks your sales. For every sale received within 60 days from visitors through your social media, you earn 10% commission.

Ironically, yearning for some semblance of our previous normalcy has given way to what may be new norms. Delivery apps are helping restaurants from going under and us from homemade-induced cabin fever.

Maybe a few free Gozney Roccbox’s will help save a number of talented chefs. The new initiative is only available to chefs within the US & UK in limited locations.

Red Robin Is Offering A Build-Your-Own Wing Bar For Home Delivery

A few months back, there were times when I would eat wings two or three times a week either after work or during lunch. Being at home these days, frequenting wing bars isn’t as easy as it used to be. That, however, hasn’t stopped me from finding alternatives to enjoying wings at home.

That’s because Red Robin Catering is offering a massive box of wings that you can order for the family, that comes with their own sauces, dips, and sides.

Each Big Red Box of Gourmet Wings & Sides come with 50 juicy bone-in chicken wings. While naked wings are delicious, it wouldn’t be considered a wing bar without your choice of sauces and the build-your-own box includes the chain’s signature Buzzard Sauce, Teriyaki Sauce, and Whiskey River BBQ.

Finally, because no wing experience is complete without dipping sauces and sides, guests will also have sides of Ranch and Bleu cheese to dunk their wings into and some carrot sticks.

Wing lovers can get their hands on this box through the Red Robin site. Each package is about $50, serves 10 people, and is available at all participating Red Robin locations.

Firehouse Subs Serves Up Nashville Hot Brisket

We’ve seen shrimp get the Nashville Hot treatment this week at Red Lobster, but never would I have imagined beef brisket could be served Nashville Hot. Like with most things in my life, I was wrong.

Firehouse Subs just announced the release of a Nashville Hot Brisket Sandwich.

The sub is loaded with slow-smoked USDA Choice beef brisket that’s sliced up and coated with a spicy Nashville Hot seasoning. It’s then topped with spicy pickle chips, mayonnaise, a sweet and tangy coleslaw, and melted pepper jack cheese on a toasted cornbread roll.

Curious to see if it leans more towards Nashville Hot chicken or tender smoked brisket, either way my curiosity is piqued for a sub.

You can find this hot sandwich at participating Firehouse Subs locations across the nation.

Disney World Unveils Gourmet Cotton Candy, Including A BBQ Flavor

While Southern California residents are gearing up for the much-anticipated opening of Disney’s Star Wars Land, Walt Disney World in Florida has a different reason to be hyped this summer in the form of new gourmet cotton candies.

Disney Food Blog reported that the resort and theme park has unveiled a line of cotton candies that are now available at Goofy’s Candy Company in Disney Springs.

New flavors include Root Beer, Sour Apple, Strawberry Banana, Key Lime, and Sweet Mesquite.

Disney Food Blog notes that the Sweet Mesquite had a smokiness to its aroma, but was on the sweeter side rather than savory. Essentially, it tasted similar to a BBQ chip.

As a fan of anything and everything BBQ related, this is a must-try if I’m ever at the Florida theme park. Hopefully they stay on the menu for an extended amount of time.

Come Get This Unbelievably Tender Wagyu Brisket At Upcoming Queen Mary Cook-Off

As a barbecue enthusiast, the quality of the meat you choose is essential to a proper beef brisket. If you’re using any kind of inferior meat, you better be a master of the smoke because you’re pretty much in an uphill battle. Now I’ve had briskets made with amazing cuts of beef before, but I’ve yet to see one that’s smoked with Wagyu meat.

For the unfamiliar, Wagyu beef is widely regarded as ultra-premium quality beef that’s of the utmost level of tender. And Wagyu beef brisket is exactly what The Q Joint BBQ is bringing to the world of barbecue.

Slicing up USDA Prime Wagyu Brisket, The Q Joint is an Irvine, California-based barbecue company that offers a plethora of smoked and grilled meats. This includes smoked, deboned chicken thighs, St. Louis-style ribs, and their 12-hour hickory-smoked brisket.

All their items come together in what they call The Judge’s Box which boasts: 1 chicken, 2 ribs, pulled pork, 2 slices of brisket, and 2 burnt ends.

This incredible platter of smoked delights can be found at The Queen Mary’s Waterfront Cook-Off. The annual event will be held on May 11 from 12PM to 5PM. There will be two competitions held during that day, one that pits BBQ masters together in a smokey cook-off. The other brings together some of the country’s best chili cooks to see who can craft the most delicious bowl of chili.

Sounds like heaven on earth.
