Baskin-Robbins Debuts New Inside Out Apple Pie Ice Cream Flavor

Baskin-Robbins is debuting a new Inside Out Apple Pie flavor as it’s September Flavor of the Month. This intriguing flavor is a swirled vanilla ice cream and apple ice cream that’s loaded with apple and pie crust pieces then finished with a ribbon of cinnamon brown sugar.

I know ice cream during the colder months doesn’t hit quite like it does when you’re sweating it out from June to August, but this flavor really does sound like the perfect fall time treat.

The Inside Out Apple Pie flavor will be available at participating locations nationwide starting September 13, 2021 alongside the return of the fav-favorite Quarterback Crunch flavor just in time to ring in football season.

Baskin Robbins Adds SLIME As Their Latest Summer Topping

Summer’s officially kicking off, and with it comes new summer flavors at your local haunts. One eye-catching addition to the Baskin Robbins menu comes in a fresh topping. 

Sour Berry Slime joins the menu this June and the chain’s Flavor of the Month Summertime Lime

Paired together, the bright green topping adds a sweet and sour flavor to your choice of scoops or shakes. This refreshing topping addition takes us back to the Nickelodeon Double Dare aesthetic. 

Guests can add the Sour Berry Slime as an additional topping for 99 cents or take home a bottle for emergency sliming for $6.99.

Baskin Robbins Drops Mangonada Frozen Beverage Featuring Tajin

Mangonadas are one of the most refreshing and vibrant treats you can find across Mexico. Made with frozen mango, lime juice, chamoy, and Tajin seasoning, the blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy makes for a one-of-a-kind sweet treat experience.

Baskin Robbins is paying tribute to that in their newest frozen beverage, dropping their take on a Mangonada nationwide for a limited time.

Made with frozen mango puree and salty, tart chamoy, Baskin Robbins is also topping off each drink with a sprinkle of Tajin seasoning. In a press release, Baskin Robbins claims to have spent over two years developing the recipe while working with “experts who have been serving mangonadas for generations.”

However, a key component that seems to be missing from the Baskin Robbins Mangonada is the tamarind candy straws that you often will slurp the drink through.

Other than that, the ice cream chain’s take on Mangonada seems to hold true to what makes the frozen beverage so special. We’ll have to see if that’s the case firsthand, however, as the drink drops at Baskin Robbins nationwide. It’ll be on the menu through the end of May.

Beloved S’mores OREOs Are Back For First Time Since 2015


Oreo’s at it again, dropping a line of flavors hotter than the Game of Thrones finale.

You’d think Oreo would eventually run out of flavors, but they keep cranking them out in bulk, this time releasing four new flavors, along with an old favorite.

The new lineup consists of Marshmallow Moon, Maple Creme, Latte Creme Thins, and Baskin-Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip. Coming along for the ride will be the return of the beloved S’mores flavor.

As far of the S’mores Oreo, arguably one of its top 5 all-time flavors, it is already in stores for the first time since 2015. Unfortunately, it will not be around for too long, is it will continue to be a limited edition flavor, so get your hands on it while you can.

The purple marshmallow creme-filled Marshmallow Moon cookies will be in celebration of the Apollo moon landing’s 50th anniversary. The surface of the cookies will have spacey designs, along with a glow in the dark package, for those who like eating their Oreos with the lights off. The mid-June release will roll out around the same time as the Latte Thins, as those cookies look to tap in to everyone’s coffee obsession, and will actually be a permanent flavor.

In July, the Baskin-Robbins Mint Chocolate Chip will channel a classic ice cream favorite, while in late August, Oreo’s Maple Creme flavor will close out the summer, Canadian style.

Baskin Robbins’ New Red Velvet Swiss Roll Is Stuffed With Cream Cheese Ice Cream

The combination of rolled-up cake and cream is what makes Swiss Rolls so decadent, but taking that smooth frosting-like interior and replacing it with ice cream? That takes a stroke of culinary genius.

Baskin Robbins is doing exactly that with its newest creation, which combines together Swiss rolls, ice cream and red velvet cake. The Red Velvet Roll Cake maintains the classic Swiss Roll shape, but forgoes the whipped cream for a Creole Cream Cheese ice cream to mimic the tangy richness of a red velvet frosting. The cocoa-flavored cake is also topped with more red velvet cake crumbs and chocolate curls to give it a sleek, Yule log-like appearance.

Those who are huge fans of red velvet cake or Swiss rolls will definitely want to score one of these cakes, which takes the treat to the next level with that addition of the cold, tangy ice cream.

You can find the Red Velvet Roll Cake at participating Baskin Robbins locations nationwide through the holiday season, and can also order one online to pick up and take home. A Mini version that serves 2-4 costs $22.99, while the regular version, enough for 6-8 people, costs $34.99.

Baskin-Robbins’ New FREAK SHAKES Are Topped With Entire Donuts, Cookies, and Candy

The summer heat has me sweating more than than a deadbeat dad on the Maury Povich Show. To battle the summer flares, Baskin Robbins has launched a line of new cold beverages they’re calling Freak Shakes.

In honor of National Ice Cream Month, the ice cream chain created the Unicorn Freak Shake, the Oreo ‘n Cookies Freak Shake, and the Donut Shop Freak Shake.

The Unicorn Freak Shake is topped with a scoop of cotton candy ice cream and crowned with Airheads Xtreme Rainbow Berry Sweetly Sour Candy strips, Charms Fluffy Stuff Cotton Candy, rainbow sprinkles and marshmallows, all on a sugar cone.

Chocolate enthusiasts will want to cool down with a Oreo ‘n Cookie Freak Shake. This decadent beverage boasts a scoop of Oreo Cookies ‘n Cream ice cream, hot fudge drizzle, a slice of Oreo Cookies ‘n Cream Polar Pizza, Oreo pieces, and a sugar cone.

Those who can’t choose between ice cream or donuts will want to nibble on the Donut Shop Freak Shake. With a scoop of Almond Fudge ice cream, this shake is topped with hot fudge, Dunkin’ Donuts Powdered and Chocolate Munkins donut hole treats, and a Dunkin’ Donuts Chocolate Frosted with Sprinkles Donut.

Freak shakes, a food trend that has been booming in the past few years, was essentially a hulked out milkshake topped with baked goods and other outstanding sweets. Originating at a pastry shop in Australia, the trend carried over to the US where restaurants like Black Tap in NYC breathed drizzle-dripping life further into the concept.

Carol Austin, Vice President of Marketing for Baskin-Robbins, said in a release:

“We wanted to share our excitement for National Ice Cream Day with our guests the best way we know how – by creating a new and unexpected ice cream treat for them to enjoy.”

The upcoming line of Freak Shakes will be available at participating Baskin-Robbins locations July 15 and will last through July 31.

Baskin-Robbins is Testing Sweet and Savory Popcorn Flavors

Baskin-Robbins is known for one thing — well, make that 31 things. The popular ice cream chain has been proudly serving up its 31 flavors since 1945, which is how the company launched to now international fame. So to think of Baskin-Robbins selling anything that doesn’t involve ice cream (and yes, we’re counting their mind-blowing ice cream cakes) just feels… weird.

But we might all have to get used to this idea, and fast. As of March 2017, Baskin-Robbins has announced that they are testing a brand new product, one just as delicious albeit very different from the company’s iconic scoops: popcorn.

The company has created a few savory and sweet popcorn flavors for our snacking enjoyment and each one sounds more delicious than the next.

For savory, we have a classic butter and a cheddar jalapeno flavor. For sweet-lovers, a few flavors that are shout-outs to Baskin-Robbins’ classic ice creams: cookies and cream, sweet and salty, and the classic caramel praline.

Baskin-Robbins’ VP of Marketing, Carol Austin, informed us that of all the flavors, plain butter is surprisingly garnering the most attention. Despite this, she insisted that stranger flavors could be following these initial ones, provided that testing goes according to plan.

For now, the popcorn is only available for purchase in Tennessee and Illinois, but Baskin-Robbins representatives feel strongly that this product is testing well enough to hopefully expand. If the results do come back positive, we could be seeing this new snack in Baskin-Robbins locations across the country sooner than we think.

Until then, we’ll just enjoy our Flavor of the Month cones in anticipation.

Baskin-Robbins Is Testing a Home Delivery Service, Convenience Wins

Ever had one of those moments when you’re craving ice cream but you’re too lazy or short on time to actually go get a scoop? Well, this problem could be ancient history if all goes well for the newest service being tested by Baskin-Robbins.

You might want to sit down for this one.

Representatives from the Dunkin’ Brands corporate office (which also owns Dunkin’ Donuts, if you didn’t guess) announced earlier this month that Baskin-Robbins is fiddling with a new home delivery service.

Yeah. Ice cream, at your door, whenever you want it.

Although the service is still a prototype, it’s being tested in four national markets: Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and San Jose. All 31 flavors of Baskin-Robbins ice cream are available for delivery, as are ice cream cakes, and pints of ice cream. But don’t think you can only order in bulk; the smallest orders can be sent directly to your door as well, including a single scoop of ice cream in a cone or cup.

The VP of Marketing at Baskin-Robbins, Carol Austin, says that their hope is that this service will help boost winter sales for the company, which are understandably lower than they are during warmer seasons. If the service tests as well as predicted, it could be available nationwide by 2018; however, no one can know this for certain until the four markets have been extensively tested.

If you’re a little skeptical of an ice cream delivery service (especially if you live in a warmer climate), rest assured that Baskin-Robbins did dozens of trial runs before they started testing. Overall? They had surprisingly no issues transporting their legendary ice cream from store to customer.

The only thing they can’t do as of now? Send whipped cream without it melting! So make sure you have a can on hand if that’s your go-to topping.
