Dunkin’ Adds Maple Snackin’ Bacon And Stuffed Bagels

Last year, Dunkin’ launched a bold new breakfast concept with bacon lovers foaming at the mouth: hand held Snackin’ Bacon. Essentially, crispy strips of peppered bacon were served a la carte utterly independent of a sandwich vessel.

Dunkin’ has released a massive new menu of offerings ahead of their fall breakfast line up.

Some highlights of the new Satisfying Snackin’ Selection include a new variation of Snackin’ Bacon boasting a sweet and savory maple flavor. Also, joining the chain’s menu will be creamed cheese-filled Stuffed Bagel Minis and Steak & Cheese Rollups

Dunkin’ has also beefed up its fall favorites beverage menu to include some new seasonal offers such as a new Pumpkin Spice Latte and Chai Latte

Sounds like a visit to Dunkin’ is definitely happening in the not too distant future. You can find these breakfast items now at participating Dunkin’ locations nationwide. Man, I could honestly go for some Snackin’ Bacon right now.

IHOP Introduces Massive Breakfast Feasts Delivered To Your Home

As amazing as American breakfasts are every morning, home cooks will attest that they are a HUGE pain to cook at times, especially if you have a large family to feed. Rather than being stuck doing an hours worth of dishes after a relaxing meal, wouldn’t it be easier to order out?

IHOP was wondering the same thing and is now offering a selection of Family Feast Meals that you can order and have delivered straight to your home.

There are four feasts customers can choose from depending on their cravings:

IHOP’s Breakfast Family Feast features 16oz of scrambled eggs, 4 servings of hash browns, 8 bacon strips, 8 sausage links and your choice of 8 pancakes, 8 French toast triangles, or 12 Belgium Waffle triangles.

The Pancake Creations Family Feast with Sausage or Bacon gives you 8 buttermilk pancakes, 4 servings of scrambled eggs and hash browns, 8 pieces of meat, and a choice of two pancake toppings. This includes glazed strawberries, blueberry compote, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, vanilla sauce, mini cheesecake bites, Lucky Charms cereal, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, and Cap’n Crunch’s Crunch Berries cereal.

There is also a Lunch/Dinner Feast for those looking to step outside the warm comforts of breakfast foods which includes 16 pieces of buttermilk Crispy Chicken Strips with your choice of dipping sauce, a basket of mini churros and icing dipping sauce, and a basket of fries. You can, however, sub out the fry basket for buttermilk pancakes or Belgium waffles if you’re looking for that chicken and waffle action.

Customers can order their Family Feasts for an average price of about $24.99, though prices may vary depending on your location. IHOP is also releasing a new Classic American Breakfast sandwich too, for those looking for a lighter dining choice. All options are available for takeout, delivery, or curbside pickup.

Carrot Bacon Recipe Is The DIY Produce Hack You Need

Craving bacon but all you have is a crisper full of produce currently? Don’t even sweat it.

Thanks to @IAmTabithaBrown, you can now create a new form of bacon using simply the carrots in your fridge and a few select spices and sauces from your pantry. That’s right, Carrot Bacon.

A post shared by Tabitha Brown/ (@iamtabithabrown) on

All you need is a vegetable peeler, some liquid smoke, maple syrup, garlic powder, smoked paprika, pepper, and onion powder.

To start, peel your carrots super thin and set them aside. Then, mix together your spices, liquid smoke, and syrup in a bowl. Brush your carrots with the mixture and let it soak for a few minutes to give them the flavor and aroma that mimics maple-smoked bacon.

Toss them in the air fryer at 380 for five minutes, and that’s it! Throw them into whatever vessel you’d like to get that texture and flavor of bacon… but with carrots. Tabitha Brown also mentions that ovens will work if you don’t have an air fryer.

Hot Pockets’ Newest Item Uses A PANCAKE CRUST

With many of us working from home, one positive thing to note is you can enjoy breakfast at practically any time of the day.

Keeping in this view, Hot Pockets appears top have launched a new frozen breakfast entry that somehow uses pancakes as the crust. Called Pancake Crust Stuffed with Bacon, Egg, & Cheese, the new item essentially replaces the flaky crush of a breakfast Hot Pocket and swaps it with the pillowy, sweet texture of a pancake.

First spotted by CandyHunting, the item is believed to be available at major participating grocery retailers in the frozen food aisles.

Set to launch at select grocery retailers in May 2020, Hot Pockets is also debuting a Biscuit variation of the breakfast pocket as well.

While most fast food locations in Los Angeles have closed down their dining areas, the drive-thrus remain open for customers to get their burger fix. Dunkin’ Debuts ‘Snackin’ Bacon’ Nationwide

dunkin' snackin' bacon

It was inevitable really… this day has taken too long to get here.

Finally, thanks to Dunkin’ (is it wrong if I still want to say donuts?), now anyone can order à la carte bacon at all their participating locations nationwide.

This means a tremendous amount of convenience in ordering donuts that traditionally don’t come with bacon and then hitting them with some sweet black pepper bacon just to see if it works (it always works).  Think of the added protein!

Throw in a few pieces to bulk up your wake up wraps.  Make your own breakfast sammies with à la carte bagel, hash browns, and Snackin’ Bacon.

Imagine, if you will, dunkin’ some bacon in your coffee.  I know it’s daring, it’s unusual, it will likely taint both, but now it’s possible!

If you don’t want to drive-thru you can order bacon via Grubhub. Just bacon, delivered.

An order comes with eight pieces, but be aware, this is not fatback or pork belly, this is snack-sized bacon, served in a sleeve, so it’s cute.

Prime Roots’ Plant-Based Bacon Was Made Available To The Public And Sold Out Entirely In Hours

Bacon is a tough thing to recreate when you’re trying to steer away from animal products. As a lover of all things bacon, there have been many a time where I’ve been unimpressed with what the plant-based world had to offer in terms of capturing that salty magic. Prime Roots, however, has come pretty darn close to the real deal, and made its official public debut Friday, February 14.

The bacon is made with “Koji”— an umami-rich protein that has become a staple in Prime Roots products.

The super protein home grown by Prime Roots is said to be frequently utilized by Michelin Star Chefs and throughout haute cuisine.

Co-founder Kimberlie Le said it has taken the company years to perfect the taste and texture of Koji to get it to taste like meat. When cooking, the product pretty much looks, tastes, curls and sizzles as if it were real bacon.

On Valentine’s Day, the plant-based bacon launched on the Prime Roots website and completely sold out in a few short hours according to Le.

“We had hundreds of people who contacted our team that couldn’t get their hands on the bacon,” she said. “We’re currently working on deciding which products to launch next and also expand the availability of our next product drop.”

No word yet on when the next drop will happen, but fans of vegan bacon will want to keep their eyes on Prime Roots before they announce their next release.

We got our hands on some and the cooking process was pretty identical to bacon. Taste wise, it definitely doesn’t have that magic you can only get from the cured pork belly, but man is it close.

Could Prime Roots’ bacon be what Impossible and Beyond is to burgers? I guess we’ll soon see.

Arby’s Begins Testing Brunch Sandwiches At Select Stores

Photo: Arby’s

Arby’s has always been my go-to fast food chain when I just want to indulge my palette on some meaty vices. Between their brisket and roast beef, I’m usually down to sink my teeth into some meaty sandos whenever the craving surfaces. Never once did I consider that Arby’s would offer something to help with my more frequent breakfast cravings, however.

Chewboom revealed the addition of two new fast food Brunch Burgers: The Bacon, Ham & Egg Brunch Sandwich and The Brisket, Avocado & Egg Brunch Sandwich.

Ham, freshly cracked egg, cinnamon-sugar bacon, a potato cake and French Toast sauce rounds out the ingredients of The Bacon, Ham & Egg Brunch Sandwich. The Brisket, Avocado & Egg Brunch Sandwich boasts egg, potato cake, cheese, and an avocado spread.

Chewboom reports that the sandwiches are currently being tested at select Arby’s locations in Ohio. Hopefully these massive brunch beauties get a national release. Good lord.
