Why Busta Rhymes’ Protein Drink Got Him Arrested At The Gym

Because he threw a protein drink at a gym employee, Busta Rhymes was arrested and charged with assault, NBC reports.

Witnesses say that Rhymes was seen arguing with a Steel Gym employee on Tuesday over Rhymes’ desire to bring a cameraman into the Chelsea gym to film his workout routine. The employee did not let Rhymes bring the cameraman into the gym.

The two started up another argument the next day, witnesses say, which led to Rhymes splashing water at the employee and the employee splashing back. This caused Rhymes to allegedly throw the bottle of chocolate protein drink at the employee. The cardboard from the bottle cut the victims head, however, they denied medical assistance.

Police arrived and charged Rhymes with second-degree assault. The rapper’s lawyer told the New York Daily News that the whole situation was ridiculous.

Rhymes is ordered to appear in court on Nov. 6. He’s since posted this Instagram photo:

Cocky Thief Steals Entire Cooler Of Ice Cream And Flips Off Surveillance Camera, Clerk Fast Asleep

It’s human nature to occasionally doze off on the job. It’s frowned upon, but it happens. A Chevron clerk in Oakland Park, FL, fell asleep during a shift behind the register. A man, identified as Dennis Norman, entered the station to catch the clerk noticeably dozing.

Norman walked up to the ice cream cooler and opened it, like he was about to buy some. He then looked at the clerk, who was still sleeping, and then turned his gaze to the security camera where he confidently raised his middle finger.

Here’s where things take a surprising turn.

Norman begins to inspect the ice cream cooler from multiple angeles. He then slowly begins to drag the cooler away from the wall where it sat. He continued to do so for about 15 minutes until he made it out with the entire ice cream cooler.

The clerk, still asleep.

Norman was eventually arrested and charged with grand theft. After spending 12 hours in jail, he was released on $1,000 bail. No word on whether he finished off the ice cream.

Man Asks Cop for a Ride to Burger King, Cop Finds Pot in His Pockets

A 27-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana early Sunday morning. While that’s not entirely uncommon, what does stand out is the fact that he went out of his way to ask the officer who arrested him for a ride to Burger King before the pot was discovered.

The New Jersey Advance reports that Richard Vanhouten Jr. was involved in an argument with a cab driver. Things got a bit heated, and the police were called to mediate the situation. Once the dust settled, Vanhouten asked the officer for a ride to Burger King.

Apparently, the ordeal left him famished.

The officer agreed to give Vanhouten a lift, however, because of procedure, he had to undergo a pat-down before entering the patrol car. During the pat-down, the officer allegedly found marijuana in Vanhouten’s pockets. He was promptly arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

We’re assuming he didn’t make it to Burger King.

Student Arrested for Buying Sparkling Water Mistaken for Beer, Receives $212,500 Compensation

Last year, college student Elizabeth Daly was arrested by ABC agents after leaving a Virginia supermarket. Daly, who was under the age of 21 at the time, was believed to be purchasing a carton of beer with her friend. Turns out the carton Daly’s friend was holding on her way out, however, was simply La Croix sparkling water. Now it looks like Daly will be receiving a settlement for that arrest in the form of $212,500.

According to the Daily Mail, when Daly and her friend entered her vehicle, unmarked agents surrounded it, banging on the windows. Not really sure if the agents were in fact the real deal, Daly’s friend allegedly suggested that they “go, go, go” according to the lawsuit. In doing so, the vehicle grazed two of the agents.

Daly and her friend were arrested at a red light nearby. Since she was the driver, she faced two counts of assault and one count of eluding. Both of the charges fall into the category of a Class 6 felony where Daly would have to serve up to five years in prison and a maximum fine of $2,500. She filed a lawsuit for alleged malicious prosecution, failure to train ABC agents properly and six counts of assault and battery. While Daly initially sued for $40 million in damages, she settled on the $212,500.

That can buy a lot of sparkling water.

McDonald’s Employee Arrested for Smuggling Heroin in Happy Meals

A McDonald’s employee was busted in Pittsburg for allegedly smuggling sacks of heroin in Happy Meal boxes via the drive-thru window. According to CBS Pittsburg, undercover agents arrested Shania Dennis after setting up a controlled transaction.

Using a password given to them by an informant, the cops requested to buy a boy’s Happy Meal toy. They then proceeded to the drive-thru window, paying Dennis $2 for the toy and $80 for a Happy Meal box containing 10 small bags of heroin. Upon arrest, Dennis was found with 50 additional bags and currently faces possession and delivery charges.

Swissvale Police Chief Greg Geppert stated that Dennis allegedly placed $2 in the register and $80 into her bra during Wednesday’s undercover buy. At the moment, authorities are unable to say how long this mini operation had been going on for.

” The allegations related to this employee do not represent acceptable behaviors and are not consistent with our values. As such, we take these charges very seriously and we are fully cooperating with the authorities. We are also conducting our own thorough internal investigation.  For additional information, please contact the local authorities,” Iftikhar Malik, owner of the East Liberty location, assured wary customers in a statement to WTAE.
