This CLEAR Pumpkin Pie Is An Amazing Take On The Fall Favorite

Pumpkin pie for the fall menu. #surrealism

We’re smack dab in the middle of fall and seeing tons of pumpkin pie-themed foods everywhere. While we thought we’ve seen every variation of the popular fall dessert, we were pleased to be proven wrong.

Simon Davies, Chef de Cuisine at Alinea restaurant in Chicago, created a crystal clear pumpkin pie that looks truly majestic.

In place of the dark orange pumpkin filling we’re familiar with, this pie is filled with what looks to be some kind of gelatin. You can see right through it and into the crust.

The tiny dessert, which can be seen to scale in this video below, is available at the celebrated restaurant for the fall says the chef.

If you’re one who adores anything and everything pumpkin related about the season, perhaps you should pay a visit to Alinea in Chicago and try this pie for yourself.

Edible Balloon

There are a ton of things you can do with balloons, including decorating birthday parties, inhaling helium for funny voices and tying a bunch of them to your house and floating into the sky in the case of imminent foreclosure. Or if you’re one of the chefs at Chicago’s Alinea restaurant, then you’re making next-level ballons that are entirely edible.

Even the string is made of dehydrated apple, so after you suck the helium dry make you can chew down the entire string of the balloon without feeling like a weirdo.

Thank God for this culinary creation, I remember how many awkward looks I got back in second grade when I devoured an entire balloon at the popular girl’s birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese’s. Not sure what was more weird, the fact that I ate an entire balloon…or that I wasn’t invited to the party I was at.
