7-Eleven Employee In Utah May Have Exposed Thousands Of Customers To Hepatitis

Customers of a 7-Eleven in Utah may want to pay close attention, ’cause those heat lamp pizza and chicken wings may have put them at risk for hepatitis.

According to health officials, a location of the national convenience retailer may have exposed about 2,000 customers to Hepatitis A, GrubStreet reports.

The Salt Lake County Health Department announced that customers who visited the 7-Eleven located on 2666 West 7800 South in West Jordan between Dec. 26 to Jan. 3 may want to consider getting a Hepatitis A shot after potential exposure occurred when an infected employee worked while ill.

Customers who consumed the store’s fresh fruit, self-served fountain drinks, hot items (hot dogs, pizza, chicken wings, or taquitos), or used the store’s bathroom, are said to be at risk. Those who ate and drank items sealed in packages shouldn’t worry though.

Symptoms of Hepatitis A include jaundice, nausea, fatigue, and fever, and could take up to a month to even show.

Since the discovery of the possible exposure, the location has been sanitized to the health department’s standards. Still, any customers of that specific Utah location may want to look into the injection. Those who are already fully vaccinated against Hep A should be alright.

It should also be stressed that anyone who handles food regularly should be washing their hands.

7-Eleven Just Added A TWIX Donut Bar To Their Pastry Line-Up

There are four things we like to grab when we visit 7-Eleven: a Slurpee, a chocolate bar, a donut, and lottery scratchers.

Well 7-Eleven has combined two of those four things into a brand new item hitting stores. No, it’s not a Slurpee with a lottery ticket on the cup (though that would be pretty kickass). The retailer chain has announced the addition of a new TWIX Donut.

The new morning pastry features caramel icing and a generous chocolate drizzle, then topped off with chopped pieces of TWIX chocolate candy bars. A little from column A and a little from column B.

According to Foodbeast Managing Editor Richard Guinto:

“That donut was delicious.”

Now we won’t have to fumble juggling two sweets and fishing out our car keys from our pockets.

You can find the TWIX Donut at participating 7-Eleven locations for $1.69 for a limited time, through the next three months.

Now let’s revisit that Slurpee Scratcher idea…

Watch This Dude Lose It After His Card Declined At 7-Eleven

Having your card declined is one of the most embarrassing things you can experience in public, behind only peeing your pants, and getting proposed to at all ballgame. You swipe your card without a care in the world, then suddenly, you hear that little beep, the cashier gives you that uncomfortable look, and everyone else in line gives you one of these looks:

A declined card never feels good, but this guy’s apesh*t reaction went a little too far, as he destroyed a 7-Eleven counter and even swung at the cashier.

Surveillance footage showed the man trying to cop some M&M’s at a 7-Eleven in Santa Ana, Calif., but the card just was not going through. Angry that he could not pay for his 75-cent snack, he went all Floyd Mayweather on the clerk, and even knocked over both cash registers before walking out.

The incident took place way back on February 11, but police just released the footage this past Wednesday, as we all now get to witness this dude’s liquor store rage.

Santa Ana PD estimated the total damage at $700, and the man is still at-large, according to NBCLA.

A little part of me wants to feel bad for the guy, but the majority of me feels that he’s probably an asshole and probably got what he deserved.
