This Burger is 100% Bacon, from the Bun to the Patty

Many bold souls have attempted to create the perfect all-bacon burger. While some put up an incredible effort (see: Slater’s Bacon ‘Merica Burger), they were still playing within the confines of a box. So, we here at Foodbeast were determined to create a truly 100% bacon burger — from the bacon-infused bun to the bacon-wrapped onion ring to the bacon-crusted egg to the actual ground bacon patty (whew). We’ve created a burger so epic, it’ll fill your bacon cravings for an entire lifetime.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve officially jumped the shark pig and crafted the Truly 100% Everything Bacon Burger. Enjoy!

The 100% Everything Bacon Burger

  • bacon (at least 5 pounds).
  • bacon Bits
  • mayo and Sriracha
  • BBQ sauce
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 (or 2) slices of Pepperjack cheese
  • 1 egg

  • 3 tablespoons warm milk
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • bacon bits
  • 1 bag of pork rinds
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

How To Make It

  1. Combine milk, water, sugar and yeast in a cup and let stand for a few minutes.
  2. In a mixer, combine flours, salt and butter. Mix with a spoon until the the butter is in small chunks.
  3. Add wet mixture from earlier, with a beaten egg, to the dry. Start the mixer on low for about 10 minutes.
  4. You should have a sticky wet blob of dough. Shape it into a ball and set it aside in a bowl, covered for a few hours. It needs to rise.
  5. After the nap you just took, your ball of dough should have doubled in size. Slice off a fraction of the dough (you can use the rest to make regular burger buns).
  6. Add some crushed pork rinds and a some bacon bits to the dough and start flattening it and pitching the ends back until it forms a ball. You can do the same with the rest of the dough (minus bacon and rinds). Set aside for another couple of hours.
  7. Beat an egg with about a tablespoon of water to make the egg wash. Coat your burger bun with the wash.
  8. Add a dusting of bacon bits to the top of your buns and throw it in the oven.
  9. At 400 degrees, bake your bun for about 15-20 minutes or until it’s golden brown.
  10. Add some crushed pork rinds after buns are ready.

  1. Crumble pepperjack into a ball along with bacon bits and flatten so the bacon mixes with the cheese.
  2. Take bacon and divide in half. Cut up one half of bacon into small chunks. Take the chunks and squeeze them until you can form a patty. Fry the bacon patties 5-10 minutes on both sides on medium-high heat, until crispy. Careful not to break the patty. Add the cheese slices to top of the patty so it melts.
  3. Cut onion into rings and wrap with uncooked bacon. Hold together with toothpick. Fry.
  4. Mix mayo and Sriracha together with some bacon bit pieces. Set aside
  5. Mix BBQ with bacon bit pieces and set aside.
  6. Separate egg whites from yolk and add bacon bits. Scramble egg whites with the bits and place on frying pan. Add yolk to whites and cook on medium-low heat.
  7. Fry up remaining strips of bacon.
  8. Stack your burger however you want. Garnish with strips of bacon both in and outside the burger.

California Burger Chain Unveils a Deep Fried, Bacon and Guacamole-Stuffed Supreme Nacho Burger

You’re supposed to outgrow these things. Supposed to make better decisions for yourself and for your body. Supposed to stop eating like a college freshman by combining every cafeteria junk food within reach just because you can.

And you probably will, one day. But not today.

Creators of such gut-busting burger behemoths as the 100% Bacon Burger, the Guinness-Infused Steak Burger and the Donut Sunny Side Up Burger, California burger chain Slater’s 50/50 is serving up a deep fried Supreme Nacho Burger as its featured burger for the month of August. Burrrgeeeerrr.

Here’s the official description:

“Inspired by Make-A-Wish kid Justyn and his alove for nachos, this beef patty is topped with melted cheeses, lettuce, onion, tomato, black beans, bacon, tortilla strips, fresh salsa, and guacamole. Wrapped in a flour tortilla and deep fried, we smother it in nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños.”

Twenty percent of proceeds from the burger’s sales will go to the Make-A-Wish foundation, up to $4000, which will probably leave you with enough guilt-breaking good-will feelings to justify that dessert.

Slater’s 50/50 Offers 100% Bacon Burger because that’s How ‘Murica Celebrates Independence Day

Slater’s 50/50 is doing it right by rolling out their famed 100% Bacon ‘Merica Burger in celebration of the 4th of July. The limited-time item made it’s debut last year and thanks to its popularity among pork fiends, the Southern California-based chain is bringing it back for another run.

The literal bacon on bacon on bacon burger features a 100% ground bacon patty layered with bacon cheddar cheese, thick strips of bacon, bacon island dressing and a runny sunny side up egg to glue it all together. This year, the specialty item will be served on a bacon pretzel bun made using rendered bacon fat instead of butter and featuring bits of bacon rolled into the dough. You know, in case there wasn’t enough bacon goodness already.

The 100% bacon patty is available at all Slater’s 50/50 locations during the month of July.  If you’re still trying to figure out what to do for the 4th, well, here you go.

Slater’s 50/50 Debuts a 100% Ground Bacon Burger

Southern California burger chain Slater’s 50/50 has spent the past couple years making a name for itself through its flagship  burger patty that blends 50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon into a local hero of a menu item.

In celebration of one the most patriotic months of the year, the 3-location chain is debuting The ‘merica burger — a patty made of 100% ground bacon topped with a slice of thick cut bacon, a sunny side up egg, a new “bacon island” dressing and a heavy slice of bacon cheddar cheese. Bacon on bacon on bacon — apparently the only way to top their 50/50 ground beef bacon blend patty is to go 100% bacon.

This limited-time burger of the month for July comes on the heels of many over-the-top monthly burger concoctions from the increasingly popular restaurant. Just last month the chain featured a Pulled Pork Burger, the month before that was a Chorizo Burger, and in months prior they’ve had items like an Orange Chicken Burger, a Lamb Burger and even a Chili Cheese Frito Burger back in January of 2011.
