Subway is spicing up their menu once again, this time with their new Jalapeño Cheddar Bread. After debuting their Fiery Footlong Collection in November the chain is taking the next logical step and adding jalapeño ridden rolls to the menu. For an extra hot lunch why not pair your Jalapeño Cheddar Bread with some creamy Sriracha sauce? Although the bread will only be available for a limited time Subway R&D Baking Specialist Mark Christiano says the bread “has the potential to be added to the permanent menu”
The addition of the new bread coincides with Subway’s “Janu-ANY” promotion which comes a month early in 2014. Any regular footlong will be $5 for the entire month.

Four slices of jalapeno on a foot long lump of dough? Wow. At least Wendy’s made an attempt at making something slightly spicy with the chipotle burger and chicken, not that anyone who likes spicy food should look for it at a chain.
No, the flavor does not come from the 4 slices of jalapeno added to the dough. There are 4 slices to garnish on top. There is a mild jalapeno flavor infused in the bread. Some people absolutely race to be the first person to poo-poo anything a fast food joint tries before they have any idea what they are talking about. First-in though!!!
I always get extra jalapenos on my foot long so jalapeno cheesy bread will just make it even more special. 😉 Thank you Subway!
I’m 99% sure we already had these rolls at our local Subway. But I’m in Texas, so I guess it’s a given around here. 🙂
Yum!
