Just a few days ago the McRib began making headlines in its notorious limited-time run. Just as quickly as the sandwich enters the public consciousness, it will surely leave in early November. We, like many others across the nation caught a bit of euphoria on the way in to work this morning, and decided we wanted to create a McRib Party Sub.
We took to our local Fresh & Easy Market and grabbed a loaf of bread a couple feet long. The bread definitely had a a crispier edge than a hoagie roll, and established more nuances and flavors than the bun that McDonald’s uses.
Yes, normal party subs are something-like 6′ long, but this one still pretty fun to make and eat, so we’ll consider it a party. Made up of 7 McRib patties, a cup of extra sauce and extra pickles and onions. It’s amazing what the quality of the bread will do to the sandwich. Grab some artisan bread next time you want to try a McRib…
Worth a try if you ever get a chance:
