Dippin’ Dots Cereal Is A Nostalgic Treat That You Can Now Have For Breakfast

I remember those middle school days where I would hang out at the mall, catch a movie with some friends, and buy a cup of Dippin’ Dots ice cream while I wait for someone to pick me up. You don’t see Dippin’ Dots around too much these days, outside of vending machines and fairs, and that kind of breaks my heart.

Luckily, fans of the dessert now have something to look forward to.

General Mills just announced a partnership with Dippin’ Dots to create a breakfast cereal based around the mini beads of ice cream.

Dippin’ Dots cereal comes in two options: Cookies ‘n Cream and Banana Split, arguably two of the brand’s most popular ice cream flavors.

The ice cream brand was founded in 1988 and utilized cryogenic technology to create those innovative pellets of sweet delight. While the new cereal doesn’t actually have ice cream (think about the mess that’d leave in the cereal aisle), it does capture the essence of the dessert in breakfast form.

Dippin’ Dots cereal will be available nationwide exclusively at Walmart stores. Just remember, look for them in the cereal aisle, not the freezer aisle. I wonder how this might pair on top of a bowl of regular Dippin’ Dots ice cream?
