This Is The Loaded Garlic Bread of Your Dreams

Prepare to throw out any notion of what you thought good garlic bread is, because a pop-up in Los Angeles, CA is coming through with some garlic bread that is more loaded and more melty than any one you’ve had.

Thanks to Calic Bread, they’ve brought to light a plump, round loaf of garlic bread that’s stuffed wall to wall with garlic cream cheese. Not only that, they’re also serving up different flavors that come laden inside with mozzarella and cheddar cheese, with another being filled with Korean corn cheese.

The sight of busting one open is damn near explicit, making for a drool worthy visual that’s deserving of any craving. Now if you’re punching the air right now after noticing they’re in LA, worry not, as renowned national food delivery service, Goldbelly, is now shipping them across the nation. Just hit up the site and make your selection to have your favorite garlic bread’s favorite garlic bread sent straight to your door — or gaping mouth, I don’t judge.

Fried Chicken Skins Are Made For Snacking

Look, today is National Fried Chicken Day, truly a day that is worth celebrating with full on festivities. One way to do that? Snacking on some chicken skins. If that possibility sounds too enticing to be true, prepare your butts for a delicious dose of reality.

That’s because Flock chicken chips exist and are made with just chicken skin and seasonings, none of that artificial stuff and more of that natural goodness. Now mind you, growing up in a Filipino household, fried chicken skins were a regular thing for me. Hitting up the local Filipino market for a bag was always a treat that I wished the rest of the world would have the pleasure in enjoying.

And now here’s their chance, in three different flavors at that: Original, Sea Salt & Vinegar, and BBQ. With 13 grams of protein and 1 gram of carbs or less per packet, they also seem to be the smart choice in snacking for the keto-minded folks.

So if you want to indulge in celebration of National Fried Chicken Day or any other day for that matter, you can purchase Flock on their website.

LA Filipino Restaurant Selling Whole Kamayan Feast Kits To Recreate At Home

The Filipino practice of kamayan essentially ditches the utensils and lets diners get into the meal by eating with their bare hands. Such a technique is the usual call to action when faced with a Filipino feast known as a boodle fight, which is a large communal spread presented on banana leaves. Dishes making up the bounty consist of traditional favorites like fried fish, grilled veggies, fresh mangoes and tomatoes, lumpia Shanghai, crispy pork belly lechon, and various barbecued meats.

This extravagant meal is usually experienced at large family parties and gatherings or in restaurant settings, but now, a whole kamayan feast can be your next weeknight dinner thanks to take-home meal kits from Silog, a Filipino restaurant in Torrance, California.

“We want to continue to promote our culture through our food. Since food heals everything, it’s perfect for this unprecedented quarantine time,” states chef and owner, Lemuel Guiyab. “If people can’t go out yet and gather in restaurants, it’s all good, we can still provide everything they need for a kamayan feast right in their own home.”

To order, reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, with a minimum order good for four adults at $39.95 per person. The sumptuous feast is for sure a fun and unique dining experience that you can have at home to spice things up from the usual or if you have a special occasion you’d like to celebrate with the family.

Auntie Anne’s Now Offering A DIY At-Home Pretzel Kit

Auntie Anne's DIY

With the current status of the norm right now, I’m not sure when we’ll all be back in a shopping mall. One of my favorite memories being in one? The magnetic scent of freshly baked Auntie Anne’s pretzels wafting through the air, snatching you from reality, and capturing your attention long enough to fork out the couple bucks it takes to satisfy the sudden, intense onset of craving.

Thankfully, Auntie Anne’s has come up with a workaround to that fantasy scenario by now offering DIY at-home pretzel baking kits on their website. Each kit comes with 10 Auntie Anne’s Original or Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels that you can bake all from the comfort of your home. At $20 a pop, this is a more than satisfactory replacement for the aforementioned scene I described abvove. At least you don’t have to go through the pain of finding parking at the mall.

Take note that these kits are limited, so if you’re keen on reveling in pretzel nirvana at home, make sure to act quickly.

Skittles Premieres New Sour Skittles-Infused Ice Cream Bars

As spring transitions to summer, so too do snack cravings. Gone are the big bags of sweets that are to be devoured under three blankets while watching movies. It’s time for ice cream. But, as we sit in the in-between period of the change — too hot for a sweater, but not hot enough for a t-shirt— a cravings crisis begins to form. Much like choosing an outfit, choosing the appropriate snack can be a downright challenge.

Enter, Crazy Sour Skittles Coolers, the hybrid ice cream-candy.

The new treat is the latest in the candy’s ice cream bars, the first of which dropped last February. The premise remains the same: deliver the Skittles experience, but make it ice cream. Except now, the humble Sour Skittle is the star of the show.

This is accomplished by dipping a fruit-flavored, Skittles-infused ice cream bar in a “sour fruit sorbet.”

The results can be seen on the Instagram page @newfoodsuk, who reported the find at an Iceland Foods supermarket.

The response to the account’s post were, unsurprisingly, mixed. But, it’s hard to imagine ice cream and candy not being good together (or at least good enough to try) so this seems like an easy move for candy fiends.

Unfortunately, this is a UK-only product, so any stateside Skittles fanatics will have to find something else to fulfill their cravings.

I’m sorry, Marshawn

In the video up top, he’s celebrating 16 million followers on TikTok by throwing together a chocolate pizza that’s got a caramel-glazed pizza crust and topped with what looks like Nutella, cookie dough, M&M’s, and chopped up Twix bars. Checkers & Rally’s Are Giving Out Free Meals to Healthcare Workers

Known for their “Crazy Good Food,” Checkers & Rally’s have shifted their focus towards crazy good hospitality.

Now, at all 250 locations nationwide, first responders and medical workers can get a free small combo at the fast food chain, solely by showing up in their uniform.

Each combo includes a small order of fries, a small drink, and a choice of one of the following entrees: Big Buford (which may be the best name out there for a fast food item), Cheese Champ, Chili Dog, BBQ Bacon Roadhouse, Half-Pound Chicken Bites, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Baconzilla, 5-piece Wings, or a Deep Sea Double.

The restaurant’s employees will also benefit from the policy, as they’ve been deemed “essential workers,” and will get a free small meal for every shift they work.

This is in addition to the $100,000 they donated to No Kid Hungry that’s estimated to provide a million meals to children, and certainly shows a commitment to helping the communities that surround each location, which is rare for such a large chain.

Hats off, Checkers & Rally’s.
