Burger King Reveals New Chicken Tenders

Burger King is shelving their crown-shaped tenders in place for these new larger and slightly more caloric chicken bites. While the Burger King website was quick to showcase these new Chicken Tenders, little other information about these new bites were divulged. The product tag line read “Crispy. Tender. New,” with information and pictures void of their Facebook page, leading us to believe there will probably be a more serious press release surrounding their launch in the coming days.

According to our friends at BurgerBusiness, one of the markets already selling the new Chicken Tenders, Miami, has been pricing the chicken chunks at $0.25 a piece. Doing a little math will put a four-piece pack at about a $1, an eight-piece at $2 and a comically accurate price of $4.99 for a 20-piece pack.

They look a little similar to Wendy’s nugs… I wonder if they are tapping the same supplier – they have that crispy breading-look instead of McDo’s tempura-style batter. Anything will be an improvement on the other BK chicken nuggets.

I’d say that a 4 pack of these and 2 of those single stackers all for $3 makes for a great guilty-pleasure gut-bomb.

*Also, tip for Wendy’s nugs: next time you get some plain nuggets, get a honey sauce with them and ask for a packet of hot sauce (it’s their “chili seasoning”). Mix some of the hot sauce into the honey and you have spicy honey. It’s the cat’s meow.
