Burger King: Enters Microwave Food Market

Looks like the King has been working on a licensing agreement with ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston where Lamb Weston will introduce a line of “crispy and flavorful” microwaveable Burger King branded products. This fall, select retailers will be stocking these new products which begins with King KrinkzTM, a package of seasoned crinkle-cut fries and King KolossalzTM (extra-large fries) and seasoned potato wedges titled King WedgezTM. These new products will come in boxes that once microwaved, can have their tops ripped off and easily become transportable containers akin to the Burger King’s signature FRYPOD® container. “Burger King: Enters Microwave Food Market” – as if they weren’t in it already!!!

They microwave practically EVERYTHING in their stores. I’ve even read some online horror stories about people ordering the burger “off the broiler” – a little known option on the register – only to have it MICROWAVED RIGHT AFTER IT CAME OFF THE BROILER!

To wait 10 minutes for an off the broiler burger just to have it microwaved (which was what you were trying to avoid in the first place) is just beyond absurd. Demand burger king make OFF THE BROILER standard or charge more for the option and REMOVE ALL MICROWAVES.

Microwaved food is not very well researched and has many health dangers associated with it – fight to get this poison off our counters and out of our restaurants!
