Salt & Straw Invented an Ice Cream Perfume

Fun fact: Did you know ice cream has no scent? All the flavor in the world and just the right amount of indulgence, but literally no smell. To enhance the ice cream tasting experience, Oregon-based Salt & Straw has created their most innovative product yet – the first-ever ice cream perfume.

The best part, the perfume is also edible and was created intentionally to spritz on your ice cream. Who would have thought ice cream needs a little perfume, too? According to research, up to 80% of flavor is based on smell and with this edible perfume, Salt & Straw wanted to give consumers the most important sense of smell to create an enhaned ice cream eating experience.

Salt & Straw is rolling out three different scents and said the perfume took years to make. The ice cream perfume is actually wearable and doesn’t change the ice cream’s flavor.

The scents include:

  • A Cloud of Cocoa: Notes of Ecuadorian Chocolate, Malted Milkshake, Japanese Whiskey.
  • A Plume of Blooms: Notes of Jasmine, Honeysuckle, Wild Country Garden.
  • A Swoon of Citrus: Notes of Key Lime Pie, Lychee, Italian Lemon Grove.

Buffalo Wild Wings Debuts ‘Bird Dawgs’ and $3 Happy Hour Drinks

Starting today, Wednesday, June 22, Buffalo Wild Wings is giving you a new way to enjoy their chicken tenders, with the debut of NEW menu item, Bird Dawgs.

Bird Dawgs are hand-breaded chicken tenders on a brioche bun loaded up with sauces and toppings and will be making their appearance on the new Happy Hour menu.

According to Buffalo Wild Wings, you can create your own or enjoy a Loaded Bird Dawg topped with beer cheese and wild honey mustard; Honey BBQ Bird Dawg topped with fries and Buffalo Wild Wings’ Honey BBQ sauce; and Buffalo Bird Dawg topped with ranch, napa slaw, and Buffalo Wild Wings’ Medium Buffalo sauce.

Now let’s talk about that Happy Hour menu with affordable drinks. Buffalo Wild Wings Happy Hour is back with drinks and appetizers for $3-$6 from 3:00-6:00pm on weekdays.

The Happy Hour menu includes $3 tall drafts of Wild Herd Kolsh by Goose Island, $5 Strawberry Margaritas, $6 Truly Berry Cherry Limeade, $3 Chips and Salsa, $5 Bird Dawgs and more.

This Hellmann’s Mayo Tracksuit is for the ‘Spicy’ Fans

“Trash Can Nachos… but make it DESSERT!” Sounds like something we can get behind. Stop what you are doing because Guy Fieri’s Dessert Trash Can Nachos needs your undivided attention.

After a successful BBQ Trash Can Nachos launch with Goldbelly in 2020, Guy Fieri and online food traveling hero, Goldbelly, teamed up once again to bring the ultimate sweet spin on Guy Fieri’s classic trash can nachos, and it’s all the rage.

Wendy’s Adds Strawberry Frosty by Popular Demand

Wendy’s Frosty is a summer staple and to add a little sweetness to the menu during the hottest months of the year, the fast food chain announced the introduction of Strawberry Frosty, available for a limited time.

If you are a big fan of vanilla, well the bad news is that strawberry is taking over the spot on the menu, but the good news is that it’s just for the summer.

“We’re always listening to our fans and as the most-requested item, it was a no-brainer for us to bring the Strawberry Frosty to the menu this season,” said Carl Loredo, Chief Marketing Officer for The Wendy’s Company. “While some of our competitors are still trying to get their ice cream machines to work, fans can dip into this new strawberry treat all summer long at Wendy’s.”

And in true Wendy’s fashion, nothing like a little jab at their competitors. We don’t expect anything less from the fast food chain.

Wendy’s is also bringing back the Summer Strawberry Chicken Salad for a limited time combining, “sun-ripened, freshly sliced strawberries, crisp Applewood smoked bacon and juicy grilled chicken atop a bed of crispy lettuce and spring mix, and topped off with an Italian cheese blend, candied almonds and a sweet Champagne vinaigrette.”

Whether you are going to Wendy’s for the Frosty or the salad or both, use the app to order because now through July 3, when purchasing a salad within the Wendy’s app you can redeem a free small Fry with purchase and you can get a FREE Strawberry Frosty with 150 reward points.

Jack Harlow and KFC Announce a First-Class Meal

KFC is the latest fast food chain to jump on the celebrity meal trend and they’re coming in finger lickin’ good with a one-of-a-kind Jack Harlow meal.

Curated by the Kentucky native himself, Harlow spent time at KFC’s Louisville, Kentucky headquarters tasting the entire menu to hand pick this “first-class” meal. The custom meal is a mix of KFC classics and new fan favorite menu items including the KFC Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Mac & Cheese, Secret Recipe Fries, a side of ranch and a cold lemonade, all served in custom Jack Harlow x KFC packaging.

“From releasing ‘Come Home the Kids Miss You’ and now launching my own meal at KFC, I’m having a super blessed summer” said the chart-topping rapper. “When KFC asked me to create my own meal, I knew it couldn’t be just any meal. My meal brings together my childhood favorites from growing up in Louisville, the KFC Mac & Cheese, with my new go-to Spicy Chicken Sandwich (with plenty of ranch), Secret Recipe Fries and lemonade — it doesn’t get much better.”

If you’re looking to get an early taste and you happen to live in Atlanta, well you’re in luck. Jack and KFC teamed up to transform an Atlanta KFC to a real life Jack’s Meal HQ located at 2637 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna, Georgia. Here, Atlantans will be the first to try the Jack Harlow Meal while they listen to Jack’s new album from a KFC x Jack Harlow bucket speaker.

For the rest of us, we’ll have to wait through the weekend for a taste. Beginning on Monday, June 6, fans can order the meal at any KFC restaurant nationwide or on the KFC app and site.

Dunkin’ and PUMA Drop New Sneakers for Iced Coffee Day

If you are an iced coffee fan, chances are you are celebrating Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day on Wednesday, May 25, which was created to bring joy to kids in local hospitals across the country. On Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day, $1 from every iced coffee sold at participating Dunkin’ locations nationwide will be donated to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.

In honor of the day, Dunkin’ also partnered with PUMA to launch two limited edition sneakers, to keep America “running” in style.

The all-new Dunkin’ x PUMA collaboration features two PUMA styles: the classic GV Special and the Triple Basketball sneaker. Retailing for $80-$90, the sneakers are designed in bold co-branding, feature iconic pops of pink and orange and sport graphic detailing similar to a Dunkin’s iced coffee cup.

Fans can get their hands on the new sneakers starting on Wednesday, May 25 at PUMA.com, the PUMA NYC flagship store and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

To further celebrate the collaboration on Dunkin’s Iced Coffee Day, the brands have donated the limited edition Dunkin’ x PUMA sneakers to hospital partners across the country. The honored recipients are Child Life Specialists, hospital heroes who go above and beyond every day to bring more joy to kids in hospitals.
